I really enjoyed this. I like the twist of Icarus repeating his follies. Sounds like drug addiction.

Something in her light  
Icarus, I see you staring  
Stunned and Starry eyed

the way you described icarus' becoming enraptured with the sun in the first stanza perfectly sets up the rest of the poem. *'*eldritch' was a fantastic word to use and gosh i could just SCREAM at how perfectly it fits.

the imagery here is beautiful and can be visualized nicely. the 'every inch a mile / death approaches soon' line directly after helps this stanza feel climactic as well.

Herein from her high

the way you seemed to juxtapose icarus with the sun here captures the story perfectly. screaming again at your diction - retrogading?? are you kidding?? incredible.

the repetition/foreshadowing of including this at the beginning and end was jus

Coming down to die
