reaching
I think of a world afar
with amethyst and streets of tar
with crossfire nights and words untold
and ambling nights and truth behold
Where things with meaning glorified
and little whims put out of light
I stare outside languidly
I ponder where our likes will be
In gold and green and sapphire eyes,
a simple daisy will suffice
But far away, doth you be
in dips of dreams and ecstacy
In their eyes with jaded age
(my blurry features disengaged)
I stare upon a fever dream
discovery rips at the seams
I'm like a child thrust into life
with paying glances terrified
and counting seconds feels so new
I wait for dusk and second bloom
