Man it seems like so long ago these bad boys came out and completely launched Saucony into the world of top tier shoes, yet here are the OGs!

I completely feel the same way. Finally happy to try out the newer models soon.

saucony: bring back white mutant you cowards

MistaTurapyMan•

I agree. These are now my work shoes after being retired from running at 450 miles. I refuse to let this colorway die.

White mutant was such a good colorway. I do have to say though, the pink speed 3/pro 3 is almost as good imo.

MSKOnlyScans•

The white mutant colorway is literally r/RunningShoePorn for me. My favorite colorway ever for any shoe.

I have a brand new pair of both the pros and speeds in this color still in the box … maybe at this point I should sell them lol

If they're size 13 hit me up! Lol

Upvoted, twice.

They don’t even look creased, impressive

Or dirty! 👏🏼

An occasional wipe with a wet microfibre does wonders!

Could you link by any chance where you can buy such a thing please?

Originally got them for my car but use them on my favorite runners too ☺️

2
SwOOsHeD•

Just got back from my long run in the same pair! Definitely does not have the same bounce anymore and it feels harder to push the pace than before

Spinal_Orangutan•

Nice. I have 13km on mine ES3’s. Trying them for 20 kms on Sunday.

4
OnlyJantoDevOP•

Let us know how that goes! Have you ran in the speed 1/2 for reference?

1
airnans•

I did 11 miles in them today (picked them up this week). Pretty much loved every step. Great cushion for the slower first half, very responsive when I started to push the pace, especially the last two miles. Plenty of room in the toebox, and my feet tend to swell plenty.

I sized up 1 whole size to accommodate for my upcoming marathon. I did not run in 1/2 as I’ve only been running seriously since this august.

I was running with a friend so I was above my normal pace but my feet felt good the whole time. Nice and light and lots of room throughout the toebox.

I love this colorway so much that mine is still brand new in the box, even though I am already running in Speed 3.

4
OnlyJantoDevOP•

Def my favorite colorway. If they still look decent when retired I would drop in a new insole and rock them in them summer casually

2
aquilles10•

I wish they would make that color way again.

ChopululiTriumph 19, Novablast 2, Speed 2, RC Elite v2, Pro 3•

Mine has 630k and on my last interval workout I felt that they aren’t as fast as they used to be and is time to move them to steady long runs for,at least another 100k, I have only used them for fast workouts or fast long ru s an have a marathon and a 10k race. My favorite shoe with my favorite colorway, never cleaned them nor washed, I feel like the dirt is like a war medal

Just curious, what’s your height/weight? I have a pair of Endorphin Speed 2’s here waiting for their first run. At 6.7” and 213 pounds, I wonder what mileage I should expect from them

3
OnlyJantoDevOP•

5”11 170lb, and used them on mixed surfaces

EternityWeasel•

The only running shoe (same mutant colorway) I turned into a casual shoe after 600km. Just retired another pair and running in another one, love the speeds though I stocked up too much and still have the first iteration.

3
OnlyJantoDevOP•

I think you’re good - the speeds have really aged well in terms of looks and tech/performance. They still hold their own against competition 2-3 years newer.

Quirky-Dealer-1282•

I still have the OG's, mine are still in great shape too !

2
yourpaljax•

My Endo Speed 2s are at 523km and feel almost as fresh as the day I got them.

Beautiful colorway

Are you retiring these now?

1
OnlyJantoDevOP•

I feel I can still get 1-200 before using them on gravel road runs to compensate for a bit of the midsole degradation. From what I’ve seen I think they can make it to 900km depending on the individual and usage

1
Mortmere_23•

I managed 928km in mine, so you should still have a fair bit in them!

2
OnlyJantoDevOP•

Glad to hear from another close to the 1k club!

1
ashtree35•

Good to know, thanks! My v1s are at around 500km now and I’m trying to decide if I can still get more out of them or not. They definitely feel more flat compared to my newer v2s.

What app are you using the keep track of mileage on your shoes?

1
cfrances33•

I’m about at the same point, and agree, they are really holding up well. Now if they could only make them in 2E!

1
rhodisconnect•

I still have my pair. Best shoes I’ve ever worn.
