I LIKE TODAY

I like Today

Much more than Tomorrow

Tomorrow is anxiously unpredictable

And bound to have troubles

I like Today

My second chance at Yesterday

A rearview of regrets and

I-wish-I-would-have’s

​

Today is a bursting with

Sunshine and denial

Unfiltered colors and procrastination

Deep breaths of crisp air and a blindfold

​

Today is good

Today I’m strong enough

To push the weight of worry off

A little longer

​

And hopefully Tomorrow

Will wait another day.
