Hi, can anyone tell me what the benefits of conforming in Flame are? I’m only familiar with Flame being used for VFX work so I’m curious to hear what advantages and tools it has over your standard NLE. Thanks.

Linked conform is the obvious one. You do the effects work once and it updates all versions.
The main advantage of onlining in flame is firepower. A dot hill fibre channel raid with 40 fast drives beats whatever you have on your avid. So 4k/8k isn't a problem and will scrub and playback without skipping.
You can charge more money per hour/day if you say you are finishing on Flame.
The toolset was ahead of its time 20 years ago. Now it can do some fancy stuff that you wont need most of the time.
