What is your most preferred outfit?

Beauty & Fashion

I would love to know about various outfits you all like or have a preference for. I Know it is a situational choice and sometimes we have to keep the society or neighborhood or the place we're in but still what are some of your most preferred outfits throughout the day?

My personal favorites are Saree in family functions and one piece or floral frocks when I am out with friends and tshirt/shirt - jeans and matching shoes at office.

Kurta palazzo. I feel so comfy, pretty and put together with so much ease especially with a pair of matching jhumkas and flats. I can see myself wearing it on any occasion. Work, out with friends, family get together, going out for fun or just chilling at home!

Amazing. What do you do during winters?? If its cold where you live

I live in Mumbai 🤣 so I've never encountered this situation. I think a nice shawl would go well with it?

Would love to see some of your favourtie Kurta recs!

I love street shopping for Indian clothing and jewellery. I feel like all my best finds have been things I got whole street shopping. From brands I really like Ada chikankari, W, Amazon myx, Biba (for short kurtis!) and max. I've seen a lot of interesting brands on instagram especially for jaipuri block printed and chikankari kurtis but haven't tried any yet.

Which city are your from? There's not much street shopping in my city as much as I love it

Yay I love W too. You should check out Aurelia if you like W they are similar.

I have seen Ada Chikankari on Amazon but was apprehensive kf the quality

I'm from Mumbai. If you ever get the chance to go to Mumbai or Delhi or Jaipur there's a lot of good Indian stuff you can find while street shopping. Ada chikankari is a bit expensive but the quality is really good.

Boots & Scarves. I love boots and I love shawls and scarves. Best part, you can wear them to work and to party.

For formal occasions - I like things which are easy to carry, like a floor length gown, got a saree gown for cousin's wedding and I was so happy. I don't like heavy cain cain lehengas and complicated dupattas. I think sarees look really elegant but feel very hard to carry and go to the bathroom in.

That’s cool , thanks for the scarves , I’d surely order one and try it out, appreciate your suggestions 😇

So if it’s casual- Jeans, tshirt, Birkenstock Fancy- nice pair of jeans, fancy top, heels, accessories

For winters: top it up with coat/blazer/sweatshirt and scraf + recently for a new pair of uggs so I’m obsessed

A knee-length frock is my absolute favourite for dates and day out with my friends.

A simple t-shirt and blue jeans for college.

The newest addition to my wardrobe is a saree. I can not for the life of me drape that on my own.

Haha that’s true , me neither but someday we’ll learn

Either athleisure or an oversized tee, leggings (love the blissclub ultimate leggings) and running or training shoes ( I have Adidas).

I love stealing oversized jackets and tees from my fiancé lol

And yes, I have a mad craze for shoes, I have around 30 of Nike/Puma/Adidas in all colors like red, whites , black, pink, multicolored. My parents doesn't like it but I tell them that it's from my salary so they don't say anything lol.

Lmaooo, you do you girl. Go crazy on shoes. I usually go all black.

The more I've been working from home, the more homeless I now look. Outfit includes whatever is most comfortable and closest in the closet.

On most days: Leggings + Tee/Button down shirt + Birkenstock

Occasionally, if I’m in the mood, I might wear a dress. But I’m trying to living as minimally as I possibly can. So my wardrobe is pretty limited.

Normally: jeans + t shirt Occasionally: shirt + jeans once in a while: tops + jeans I love jeans as you can see. Comfortable as fuck and goes with anything ❤️🤤

When i go out of the house: T shirt and trousers of solid color without any prints on it. Dark colored top with bright colored or printed pajama.

Top+Skirt for dates.

I don't like printed tops as well , I like single colored and plain tshirt more just the logo is enough.

Casual - black pants with either a T or some flowyfancy with Birkenstock footwear

Functions - Saree preferably flowy ones to make me look slim

I love comfortable breezy fit and flare dresses(frocks we wore during childhood). And cotton shorts tee for home Sadly I'm not allowed to wear these so i just imagine myself in them.

3
NationalContract5970OPWoman•

Don’t worry soon you’ll be able to wear whatever you wish to 🙂

I would like ethnic wear in functions otherwise I prefer tops/shirts/t-shirts with jeans . Very much convenient to go to market and to coaching .

For winter, HOODIES . I have multiple of them . If it's a party or a get together, I would wear a sweater and a woollen cap .

True I always believe that being slightly overdressed is fine than underdressed, and yes none can beat saree , I never liked it but when I got it first time and my fiancé saw me and still today he wants me to get into saree lol

I find high waisted (non-stretchable pure denim) jeans extremely comfortable, paired with a well-fitted top that can be tucked properly or a long kurta. My second choice are frocks that reach a little above the knee.

For special occasions, sarees are my favorite. Affordable prom style gowns have completely disappeared from the North Indian market for some reason since 2016/17, I used to wear them a lot.

Saree isn’t the greatest? 🙂

2
BattleDowntownWoman•

I'm the most comfortable in a kurta and pants - and it's suitable in max places so that's a plus

1
imaginary_developerWoman•

When in India - kurta, leggings, bata chappal

Where I live now - leggings, hoodie, uggs and an arcteryx jacket

I’m clearly not very fashion forward haha

1
NationalContract5970OPWoman•

Haha but you’re re comfortable in it right ? That’s all that matters 🙂
