I recently had a family members record player repaired.

It was ok at first but an issue had developed where after a couple of seconds after setting the needle

On the record there is a click and the tonearm lifts and resets back to the stand.

I’ve managed to play a few records with it but then this issue crops up again.

I tried turn the turntable whilst it was off to “reset” something. I would spin it several times till a click then try to play. I’ve also tried rebalancing the tonearm, it was my first go but I don’t think I did too bad.

Any help would be appreciated, I did try post a video but it doesn’t upload.

What are everyone’s experiences with 3rd party charging cables? I’ve only had my P2 a couple of weeks but the standard charging cable wasn’t long enough so I got a 10m from a reputable company. It worked ok the first two nights but last night it only charged at 3kw and I tried it again tonight, again it was only charging at 3kw or less. I moved my car around and plugged in the Polestar issue cable and it immediately started charging at 6kw.

Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences or whether this might just be a dodgy cable.

What docks, if any, are people using?

I have an X15 R2 and use a Dell Performance WD19DCS which my company gave me to use with my work laptop (a Dell Precision)

Does anyone else have any other recommendations? So far the dock is good enough for me. The only thing is my system flags up saying it isn’t giving out enough power. Other than that it’s handy and the awkwardness of having the few ports at the back of the laptop isn’t a problem anymore.

I’ve been looking at purchasing a new laptop recently and today I stumbled across one at a reasonable price on Very.

I then saw that Very are offering 20% off of first purchases using Very pay. The FAQ section in the website seems to say that as long as you pay off the amount borrowed prior to the 12 months interest free comes to pass you won’t have to pay any interest. I’m able to buy the laptop outright without having to use credit but for the sake of potentially saving 20% I’m thinking this might be worth it. My plan is to buy it on credit, then pay off the account after the laptop is delivered and I’m happy with it.

I’ve got an iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 16.0.3, in the last couple of weeks I’ve struggled to connect my phone to CarPlay in my car. When I plug my phone into the cable it will start charging but on the infotainment screen it doesn’t connect automatically and when I press connect it just thinks about it for a moment then says can’t connect.

I’ve tried it in another car as well and when I try connect it up the infotainment screen just goes blank (I also used a different cable in the other car). I also tried making sure that the screen time settings allowed CarPlay and I’ve “forgotten” and reconnected multiple times.

Hi all, I’ve managed to hoard enough shards from fishing for troves and have now made a quiver.

But I’m wondering if it’s worth keeping, I don’t do much PvM at the moment but I am hoping to get into it a bit more. Selling it would free up some GP that I could use to do some other upgrades and I also have a side goal of going for 120 prayer.

So any thoughts or advice on which path to choose would be appreciated.
