Hi, got my first macbook a few days ago, and I’m having repeated issues with touchid

It sometimes works sometimes doesnt, really ifffy even if I constantly wash my hands it’s a 50/50

Any ideas on how to maybe get it working better

Finally got my hands on the base model 14 inch mbp, it’s brilliant and I’m loving it so far

But I’m looking for an external portable drive, and possible a case for it so I can back up projects and use time machine

Says it all in the title, only been able to find stuff with MVVM in UIKit, but I’d prefer SwiftUI

So sorry if it’s a stupid noobish question, but just wondering if we are bound to UIKit

Decided I’m getting 32gb with 512 and M1 pro, but I can’t decide if the 14” or 16” will be more comfortable for lap use?

I love being able to just sit anywhere with a laptop and use it on my lap, without having to seek out a desk

If it adds to anything, I’m a student aswell, and my desk space at home isn’t all that big

wanting to buy a 16” M1 pro, but with edu discount applied I don’t see any AppleCare+ option?

Is apple are impossible on edu macs, are education priced macs different from normal? Can I buy AppleCare+ after getting the macbook with the edu pricing?

It’ll either be the mba with 16gb of ram, and 1-2tb of storage Or a 16” mbp M1 pro with 32gb of ram and 1tb if storage

Not sure what’ll be best for me, can i get some advice Would love if it was portable and didn’t have to worry about charge + size and weight isn’t a big issue
