Platform(s): 100% sure it was for the NES

Genre: Adventure/Puzzle, same type of game as Fire and Ice or Adventures of Lolo, but it was neither of these nor a sequel to these.

Estimated year of release: Late 80s/Early 90s

Graphics/art style: Medieval styled (tower/castle you had to climb, knights/heros/princesses) The game's style itself wasn't dark (as in thematically), but most of the color schemes used that I remember were dark colors

Notable characters: I remember the protagonists (one if single player, two if two player, they looked like recolors of each other) were two young male heroes/knights tasked with saving two princesses from an evil beast final boss at

As the title says, I want to like this game more. I already do, despite the bugs, the blatant cash grabs, the infinite grind, the derankers, and the inconsistency; I honest to God enjoy the game's PvP. I've never played a mobile game quite like this one, so it feels refreshing (or it did a few months ago). I've seen Clash Royale mentioned several times in comparison to this game and while it is indeed similar, I tried it out and it did not quite hook me like Phone Destroyer did. Despite this however, I find myself playing less and less everyday, and as everyone well knows, no one just quits a game, first they make a very long and elaborate post in social media before they quit a game.

This is a parody of the song Every Day is Exactly the Same by Nine Inch Nails. It's meant to be in good humor, enjoy!

I believe I can see the future
'Cause it's always the same crap
I think they used to have a leet strat
But then again, that might have been a hack

I think I used to have a voice
Now I all I hear is Sigh just after, "Onward!"
I just play what I've been randomly dealt
I really don't want them to drop Zen again, oh no

Every game is exactly the same
Every game is exactly the same
There's no room for Randy here and there is no lack of Ike
Every game is exactly the same

They dropped an Astro Butters

Watching Hookhand Clyde's parrot land on a freshly played Energy Staff/Nathan...

Watching the enemy NK lose a bar because I Mind Controlled their Dougie...

Nuking Pope Timmy with Unholy Combustion before the enemy NK can revive their MBP...

Watching Hookhand Clyde's parrot fly past my Terrance and harmlessly hit my NK instead...

Mind Controlling Cyborg Kenny and having your opponent try to counter him by dropping an assassin...

Watching someone try to counter Level 5 Poison with Level 3 Regen...

It's the little things that make life worth living, and this game gives me a lot of those moments. What are those moments that make you smile, or cackle sadistically? Whichever is fine!

Too late for any regrets, I already got myself into this :p

I'm wanting to come up with several math based puzzles for my players, so I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone had any experience or ideas for this.

Any topic is fine, though high school level math is preferable, I'm not trying to drown my players in differential equations or just have them count rocks.

Any help is appreciated :)

So I'm curious what happens when an Unchained Summoner's Eidolon is slain and the Unchained Summoner then casts Summon Eidolon, as RAW gets a little hazy here. From my perspective I have three options.

  • 1 - I can be extremely generous and say casting Summon Eidolon brings back the Eidolon at half HP if it was slain in combat and jutted back to its home plane. I'm honestly not sure where this possibility comes from save from some suggestions I read while sifting through forums. Yes I'm aware that if an Eidolon is slain after 24 hours it can be resummoned and it comes back at half hit points, but this process explicitly takes 24 ho

tl;dr - I'm building a Neutral/Evil Drow character that passes herself off as an Elven cleric of Pharasma on the surface. It's a high level campaign, so I'll have access to very nifty things such as Greater Planar Ally spells, Planar Binding spells, Summon Monster spells, Mind Blank, Ancestral Regression, and other nifty stuff.

Now, unfortunately, this particular party is terrible, terrible, terrible with metagaming, so I believe that if I limit my summoning spells to Fiendish, Axiomatic and Entropic templates, someone might start asking questions, even if I also summon Good outsiders or simply the Neutral template ones like Dire Tigers and whatnot.

To avoid this, I was wondering if there

Alright, first of all let's take this Jason Bulmahn on Sneak Attack into consideration. Sneak attack is not additional damage, it is part of the damage roll, as per cited by a lead designer. This is all fine and dandy if you're stabbing and slicing things with your daggers, swords, or weapon of choice.

The question comes up however when you're mixing a sneak attacker with spells, such as an Arcane Trickster.

What happens when you fire a Scorching Ray that's affected by Metamagic such as [Empower S

So I'm at a bit of an impasse here, is it possible to store something like an Empowered Scorching Ray (normally a level 4 spell) if I use a Metamagic Rod or Spell Perfection since it specifically states that neither of these alter the spell level, so you're still technically casting a level 2 spell? I'm not sure if I'm misreading, but it seems like this is possible, and of course it'd lend itself to crazier things like a Magus with Magical Lineage being able to store an Intensified (prepared), Empowered (prepared), Piercing (rod), Maximized (Spell Perfection) Shockin

Just wondering what mundane items are people's favorites here or what they'd consider essential for any kind of dungeon crawl. It's been a while since I've done a dungeon with very little to no magic, and having some fun ideas to rely on with purely mundane items might be great. Any experiences with interesting, perhaps unexpected, combinations of mundane items? I can see one for example using a folding pole, some twine and a small steel mirror to look around corners.

Stuff I already have:

  • Twine
  • Rope
  • Dagger
  • Magnet
  • Grappling Hook
  • Masterwork Thieves' Tools
  • Masterwork Tool
  • Trail Rations
  • Compass
  • Chalk
  • Torches
  • Dungeoneering Kit
  • Sheets of Parchment

I've been playing a Pathfinder campaign for almost 2 years now, hosted weekly via Skype. I used to play a Barbarian. Unfortunately I had to stop playing for about 4 months due to work schedules conflicting, so my character went off into the sunset for a while. I was able to return, and I wanted a fresh start so I made an Arcane Trickster, the DM ok'd it and all was good!

When I actually start playing however, I find out that Quicken Spell is banned, so I had to retroactively swap out a rod. I could deal with this. Then I noticed things start get progressively worse if you decide to play an Arcane caster. Natural 1's on things like Scorching Ray, Contagious Flame or any spell with attack ro

So I'm playing a level 17 Arcane Trickster with Wizard as her arcane caster class. The party has access to Craft Wondrous Item, so I figured I'd look into nifty or fun items. I'm not referring to obvious choices like Rings of Protection, Bracers of Armor, Cloak of Resistance or +INT items etc etc. I mean things that have interesting effects, like:
