This is sort of a specific gear oriented question I'm fielding to you all to see what discerning ears have to say. But in the song "Times is Weird" from Heaven Is Real, is the bass line preformed using a Roland TB-303, or equivalent? I've never thought much about what synthesizers John uses on each record because its not info that's really out there so no point in hunting it down, but owning a Tb-303 reproduction, I feel like those are exactly the type of filtered pre-squelchy tones you would get from one, but the bass pattern really fluid and slick you wouldn't think it came from a synth as seriously difficult to program as the 303. Perhaps he really put in the time and learned to program i

If you could pick one that you love the most, which would it be? Explain why it is your favorite in the comments. (I decided to focus only on the first decade of their records for simplicity's sake. Also I grouped the first two LPs together because of how aesthetically similar they are)

I have been noticing posts slowly accruing in this sub and couldn't really be happier with having created this space for us. I noticed we have 16 members who have joined as of this date (November 28th, 2024). While not a large number by any means compared to most of Reddit, it still shows there's an interest in this topic and that there were enough people who wanted to join a space where they could discuss Television Personalities and be among fans like themselves. It shows that the sub is filling some kind of role in people's lives (even if that's only 16 people 😉) and leaves me feeling pretty satisfied and happy.

I hope this page keeps growing but I'd still be just as happy if it stayed a

The two wads/pk3's I'm searching for are the Marines Full Force Demo and any versions of Dissension which pre-date v1.666. I discovered both of these while watching playthroughs with Project Brutality. Most of the links to either of these which I've found are no longer working, and I would be ever grateful if someone could help me find these wads.

Believe me, if I hadn't already scoured the internet searching for these I wouldn't be reaching out to folks here. Any leads are greatly appreciated.

If anybody else is has hit a brick wall in searching for some specific wads they've wanted to play, feel free to add info about what you're searching for as well, and perhaps we all can all find o

Hey all, I use Delta Touch and somehow after tweaking my controller config settings for custom buttons, now every time during gameplay that I reload automatically or by pressing the button I have assigned for reload my game screen basically flips 360° degrees. I recall having this problem once in the past but don't remember how it got resolved. Anybody else run into an issue similar to this? If so how do I fix it? I haven't read of anyone else encountering this problem.

For an inaugural post, I wanted to ask everyone what the first song was by TVP you remember being absolutely taken with that began your love for their music?

The first song that I remember sticking for me was Three Wishes and in particular it was something about the simple keyboard sound accompanying the guitars that hooked me. I loved how it sounded like it was done with a cheap Casio, and that kind of authenticity really resonated with me I guess.

Do you ever read a walkthrough of a level before you play it? I usually read them afterwards, or in the event that I get stuck I'll read it before I finish a level.

I went into this level not knowing crap about what I was about to have to do, and given the title you might have thought it might be good to know what you were getting into. I apparently fought the room full of Barons AND killed the Cyberdemon when you're just supposed to let them infight. I really wish I had known that or I wouldn't have had that incredibly intense fight. The invulnerability was the only item which saved me in the end. What was this level like for you on your first playthrough? Fun or a pain in the ass?
