I'm not the most familiar with Alien Lore, more of a casual fan and most of my exposure is from the games. I know that the aliens use a resin they cough up to make their hives, but why do they have a skeletal design? At first I thought it was because they stick prey to the walls, but they're way too big to be human bones.

I keep reading this line or variations of it on this subreddit and it kind of baffles me. Bolters aren't good against armored enemies? It's a self propelled shell the size of an anti-tank round that is described to have a hardened tip made out of the same stuff they reinforce space marine fortresses with, that is designed to first penetrate and then explode. In what world is that not effective against armor? It might not shred power armor, unless we're talking Kraken bolts, but that's like saying a modern day rifle is useless against body armor because it can't shred a tank.

So where did this idea come from?

So I've read on the internet that Hantei was the youngest of the ten Kami. I've ALSO read that he was the eldest. Is this an inconsistency between editions or what's going on?

It's a thought that occurred to me recently, while learning about the 'public slaves' of the Roman empire. Commissars, to my knowledge, don't have any say in being Commissars. They're taken as children, mind-wiped, indoctrinated, and assigned to the Commissariat. At no point are they asked what they want (granted, yes, typically a Commissar will be so indoctrinated that it won't come up anyways), and insofar as I'm aware, once you're a Commissar, you don't get to stop being one.

Howdy, folks. This is the first of several homebrew races I thought of as a kid that I'm trying to make 5E compatible. Submitted it once before as a google doc. Took the advice given and then prettied it up in the homebrewery.

Got a 27 on Detect Balance.

When I was a kid, I liked to imagine up fantasy races. Now that I'm older, I've decided to see if I can't turn some of those races into 5.e compatible homebrews. One of those races was the Quarli, a swamp dwelling tribal people. Stealthy, excellent climbers, and natural born swimmers, as well as highly xenophobic cannibals.

This is my first attempt making a 5.E homebrew race, and I suspect I'll need to do some tweaking, so please leave me some criticism and advice if you feel some changes or removals are in order.

I've seen several versions of a homebrew Witcher class, but I wanted to try and make a more generic version of it. This is the first time I've ever homebrewed a class. Any input?
