The trees of this world were… inefficient, to put it lightly. The trees on Grein had been too, until they were fixed in ways only an intelligent mind could do. These trees, however, resisted Rhodens’s attempts to fix them. And so, the Lorekeepers decided, the only choice was to replace them outright.

A new breed of tree was made, one that would use the existing trees as a stepping stone for their own success. It would climb the trunk, sapping nutrients until it could make its own. Its wood would coat the tree beneath, and its leaves would take in all the light. When the old tree’s purpose was fulfilled it would die, leaving a better plant in its place.

A group of two Merchant Runners approach the Natralif border. One carries a rider and large saddlebags, while the other carries a rider and passenger, wearing a short red cape, bearing Rhodens’s emblem, and minimal leather armour.

A trio of Merchant Runners walk through the forest. The large, saurian creatures move quickly, despite the weight of their saddlebags, filled with goods for their Sian riders and any natives they may come across.

They hear the sound of a great many things moving in the distance. A herd of animals, perhaps, or maybe a caravan. The group approaches carefully to investigate.

The forest thins out, making way to grassland. The Sian look around over the landscape. If they did not see any signs of civilization, they would need to turn back in order to make it back home on schedule.

The three Lorekeepers sit in a circle atop the tallest tree in the city, contemplating the situation they had found themselves in. In their collective millennia of memories, none of them could remember an event anything like this. To be spontaneously transported to what could only be assumed to be a new world was simply unheard of. Was this truly a new world? Yes, they decide. They would become surer of this as the minutes pass. The air was too thick, their bodies too heavy. The trees outside the grove were green, rather than the red they were familiar with.

What were they to do? The people were waiting for their decision. “This new land could be full of danger.” Lorekeeper Turko says quiet

A PovCo light airplane approaches the coast. Recent developments had birthed a new country here, and it would be where the company would find who they were looking for. The trial of Ivlisar was approaching, and the Povogon Company had heard about the atrocities he and the Txin had committed many times. Now it was time to hear the other side of the story.

In the valley west of New Ibling, the Emberlen work producing fuel. Swathes of this forest’s trees were now gone, replaced with piles of dirt and stone. The trees lay within, slowly changing into charcoal. Without a supply of phlogiston, Ibling had more demand for fuel than ever before. What was once just a logging camp could now be considered a small town. This region was easily visible from the air; the dirt and stone a stark contrast from the green trees that were once here.

“Attention, Kestia. This is Povogon Company, requesting permission to land.”

An unarmed Povogonian airplane circles the Kestian aircraft carrier, waiting for a response.

[09/01/06] Trade Fair

Open Interaction

Today was opening day for the Povogon Company Fair. Many displays had been set up outside the capital, displaying advertisements for various products. Most of the displays have copies of the product available and encourage visitors to try things for themselves. A large arena of sorts has been built, in which demonstrations of certain products take place.

The event is split into three days, with each having a different theme. The first day shows off electronics and consumer goods, the second day shows off weaponry and military goods, and the final day shows off materials and foodstuff.

The fair itself isn’t the only thing available; the capital is open to visitors, and guided tours of the c

[06/01/06] Friend or Foe?

Closed Interaction

Three draconic beasts circle the barren landscape, searching for a place far from both the majority of the Koor and the bombardment they were being subjected to. The creatures land and their passengers disembark. The group, eight Soldiers and one base Sian, modified with telepathic genes from the samples collected previously, approach the Horde in a circular formation, with the Base Sian in the center. They move slowly and in near-perfect unison, not saying a word.

Voting day came and went, and the next day the votes were announced. Quivian Lunde and Ach-Bagorah are closely matched for 4th place, with Lunde placing slightly ahead. In 3rd place is Evakar Nakirine, placing a bit ahead of the other two. In a close second is Kurawa, who is just barely beaten by Aziz-Ai-K; Oryis Nos’s new Premier for the next four years.

It had been almost four years since the first Oryis Nos election. The second would occur on the first of next year, and the candidates had begun advertising and making speeches in preparation. Many of the candidates are the same as in the last election, but some new candidates are present as well.

Nakirine seeks to be re-elected as Premier. His platform is mostly the same, being focused on trade and cooperation with other nations. However, it has shifted focus from being more global to being more continental this season, specifically mentioning MakkheCo and Kestia. Reception towards him has been somewhat mixed; many point to his term as being largely

In the few weeks since the State of Ibling had appeared on this strange world, they had begun construction of a new capital in the crater of an inactive volcano. Surveying groups had been sent out and some had returned, revealing that the area had high amounts of ilmenite and oil.

The High Director sits at a stone table with Ibling’s best architects, discussing the plans for further development. A messenger enters the room, bowing. “Speak.” En orders. “High Director, the group sent to the forest have returned with samples of native life.” A tendril of smoke escapes the messenger’s mouth, floating towards the ceiling and out the open windows. The High Director stands, looking down at the mes
