I foster cats, and this week, I brought home a new foster for the first time since I moved to a new apartment. I let her out of her carrier when we got home and she immediately ran to hide in my closet. I thought nothing of it, since cats usually want to hide for the first few days after I bring them home, so I set out food and water and went to bed. When I woke up, she was gone. It's been a few days now, I've torn apart my entire apartment looking for any sign of her, and no luck. Her food and litterbox are untouched, there's no fur on my furniture, and I haven't heard her meow or even breathe. I've posted flyers in my building and my the surrounding streets, contacted animal control and my

Does anyone have a full video of Amber performing "That's Life" and receiving her Team USA jacket at the 2026 US nationals gala/"Making Team USA" event? I have searched everywhere and can't seem to find it. Any links or recordings are very much appreciated!

Misha was wearing not one but two pieces that directly related to queer history/pride. The "art is not enough" phrase on his t-shirt was used as an activist slogan during the HIV/AIDS crisis, and his shoes are from an Adidas Pride collection. For those who don't know, to put it lightly, things are not good for the LGBTQ community in Kazakhstan a

It's the offseason and I'm bored, so naturally I went through all the music used in Olympic seasons 2010 to 2026 and sorted the programs by genre, inspired by this article from 2018. Obviously, a major contributing factor in the changes here is the legalization of music with lyrics in singles skating in 2014. But I think it also reflects changing attitudes towards modern music as younger millennial and g

I'm a big fan of theirs and I think this is a good program choice for them. Might be too similar to the free dances they've done in the past few seasons, though, so I'd like to see them branch out in the future.

Kinda funny that the first two ice dance program announcements are both classic warhorses though...I am once again asking ice dancers to Find New Music.

Thoughts?

I'm trying to cope with the clusterfuck that was this olympic season. Give me your impractical, impossible, unhinged hopes and dreams for 2026/2027. I'll go first.

- Two weeks from now, Kaori will show up on social media and announce her retirement was a prank. She will then go on to complete a grand slam and win her 5th world title.

- Ilia skips quints altogether and lands a six-rotation jump at a challenger comp in august with five people in the audience.

- All ice dance competitions from here on out will be an email. FB/C will automatically be awarded the gold and the rest of the medals are determined by whose coach can politick the hardest.

- Stephen Gogolev wins the grand prix f

I'm a 22-year-old RN. I graduated with my nursing degree last May and worked in a hospital from July to January. Long story short, I'm autistic (which I didn't know until halfway through nursing school), and working as an inpatient nurse was simply too much for me. It was overstimulating, I was masking constantly, and my mental health was suffering. Bedside nursing is just not an option for me anymore, period.

I've been applying to less patient-facing roles in nursing. I think I would do well in OR nursing, but I haven't had any luck applying to those roles – only having six months of nursing experience makes it hard to find work. I'm also interviewing for a home healthcare role, which is

Hi, I'm a nurse who just left the bedside and I'm looking for my next thing, whether that's another kind of nursing or something else entirely. I need to pay the bills in the meantime and I was thinking of getting certified to teach CPR for the AHA/Red Cross? Does anyone here have experience with that? How much earning potential is there? How often do you teach? Thanks!

I'm leaving the bedside after six months, four in the ICU and two in medsurg, and applying to some OR positions as I figure out what to do next. I got an interview for a peds OR job and I'm working on my interview prep.

OR interests me because of the team approach (you're not solely responsible for keeping the pt alive for twelve hours and you're not the middle man), the methodical and routine work, only having one pt at a time, the surgery itself (I'm a huge nerd who loved my cadaver lab in school), and the fact that the pt is asleep the entire time.

I feel like some of these things make it sounds like I'm only interested in the OR because it's Not The Floor, which is partially true, bu

Long story short, I failed my new grad ICU orientation at 4 months and have worked on a medsurg floor for two months. It's too much. Having to be "on" for 12 hours a day, never getting a chance to breathe between caring for patients and charting, the overstimulation on the floor, being the middle man for every single person on the team, the time pressure – it's all too much for me. I was diagnosed with autism halfway through nursing school, and the social and sensory demands of nursing are a lot.

I'm applying elsewhere with my manager's support. The problem is that there aren't a lot of jobs that would want a nurse with six months of experience who failed both ICU and medsurg orientation.
