Hey guys,
I’ve been thinking about doing this for a very long time, and I need to emphasize, no one pressured me to leave. I’ve neglected my duties to keep the community safe and functional because I’m burnt out. I’ve seen our moderators and our users die from this illness, and I’m ready to admit I’ve moved on to a different stage of my life that no longer involves Reddit.
I’ve cut down my social media usage significantly the last 6 months or so. I’ve uninstalled my big three: TikTok, Twitter, and Reddit from my phone. This subreddit is the last thread I need to cut to be completely free from this website. I find no joy in browsing anymore. I started reading again. I’m learning to code. I
Hey y'all.
I'd say one of my biggest flaws is how sensitive I am about not being included in plans with my friends, even if it's something I may not necessarily want to do. I get very irrational about it. It makes me spiral and think that my friends don't like me, they don't want me around, and they keep me around because they feel bad for me. Which I know isn't true. And it makes me feel like a burden if I bring it up with them because I don't want to come off as overly clingy and push them away.
I've read about it here and there and I've only ever seen 2 extremes.
1.) Your "friends" hate you and they just don't want to tell you so you need to cut them off permanently and find new ones
I successfully removed Tiktok from my life around a month ago. Back then I averaged anywhere from 15-17 hours of screen time a day on my phone. I will admit, I've had urges to re-download it here and there but I pushed through it and found other things to do instead.
I'm still not perfect, the 5 hours a day mainly comes from Discord and YouTube. But the biggest differences i can see are that I sleep better, my attention span is improving, and my brain fog is virtually gone.
Edit: You know, I didn't quite realize how bad this was until I talked to y'all in the comments. It hit me like, "Wow.. that wasn't just a little bad. That was REALLY bad." Really. I have other friends that are still
I accidentally triggered myself last night. For a lil background, my ED is EDNOS but I'm most prone to binging and purging, but I also go through spells of being severely restrictive w/ heavy exercise.
So last night I went rock climbing for the first time since the pandemic after gaining 60lbs. I enjoyed it but I also can't shake how competitive I felt with my friends who are now in so much better shape than me when we all used to be closer to the same level.
And today, for the first time in a very long time, I realized I had the inner voice telling me if I restrict I can get lighter so it will be easier and I'll look better and your friends won't hate you anymore and--
I know its all fic

I made brownie cookies today. They came out a bit flatter than I hoped but they were still delicious

Hey, it's been a while
I know people have been getting frustrated with the lack of moderation. All of the mods decided we were way overdue on getting more help, so we reached out to r/EDanonymous
We're currently working together to revamp the rules to make both r/EDanonymous and r/EDanonymemes more unified.
I hope everyone welcomes our new mods:
I never thought we would reach over 67,000 subscribers! We're going to make a new update post very soon. Thank y'all for sticking around and being patient while we figure things out.
I needed to vent for a second because this has been on my mind since it happened.
So occasionally, like other offices, my office will do a "Biggest Loser" contest to see who can lose the most weight. My manager assumed I would be participating and wouldn't drop it when I wouldn't tell her why. So our convo went like this.
Manager: "I already know you're losing weight so why not join? It would be more motivation, and you'd probably win and theres a prize at the end."
Me: "Okay, so.. What will happen is that I will get trapped in a negative feedback loop. I'll have a bad week. And then I'll panic on weigh-in day. Then I'll beat myself up for doing bad. And then I'll eat more because I'm ups
Get Covid and lose your sense of taste, you'll only eat whenever you have to!
Turn pasta in to the most revolting thing you've ever put in your mouth with this simple trick!
Mixed vegetables are your new best friend! You can't taste them but the different textures are kinda spiffy. (Except for butternut squash.. why is that the only flavor coming through..?)
I'm not suffering at all looking at my bag of snacks that are somehow even less rewarding to eat than before. Looking at you, zebra cakes and pringles.
SRS: For real I ate an apple w/ peanutbutter 4 hours ago and I could taste every bit of it and it was DELICIOUS. I sat down to eat lunch (grilled pork chop, roasted mixed veg, and a
