Is it possible to hire a boat to take us from Valletta to Palermo? The ferry schedule looks awful. This would be in late October or early November. Thanks for any pointers!

My husband and I will be in Crete (Rethymnon) April 15 - 20 (Easter is April 20). We'd like to make dinner reservations now, but some restaurants seem to be "closed for the season". When do restaurants open for the season? More generally, we'd appreciate knowing what to expect in the way of crowds, the need for reservations and help with what to expect as tourists visiting during this week of celebration. Thanks in advance.
I posted also in Crete forum, but this seems a bit more active so reposting here. I'll be in Crete for the 5 days leading up to Easter (April 20). Should I expect restaurants to be crowded? Needing reservations?
More generally, will there be a lot going on in Rethymnon during that time? Any suggestions / info most appreciated!
I am a non-citizen, over age 65. I will arrive at Athens airport and stay in central Athens for about 5 days and then I will travel to areas outside Athens, including about 5 days on Crete, with a total time in-country of about 15 days. I'd like advice on whether I should purchase Athena ticket(s) or card. Does Athena ticket/card work on all forms of public transport in Athens? (Buses, metro/subway, trains, etc) Should I purchase the round trip express (bus) ticket from the airport to the city and back separately? For travel outside Athens, do I buy train tickets at the time of travel or should I purchase ahead of time? Thanks in advance for suggestions!
I'm looking for restaurant recommendations (dinner) for Perth. We're open to any/all cuisines, but fish/seafood, Indian, Thai and Mexican are favorites. Thanks in advance. :)
Anyone know if there is a time of day or day of week when the parking garage at BTV is least fulll? (ie, easiest to find a covered spot)
I'm looking for suggestions for something special to do / see to surprise my husband in Perth, first week of April. We're in our 60s, more of the "appreciate the sunset" types rather than go out to a fancy dinner somewhere. We doing a pretty ambitious driving trip around both the southern coast and a ways up the northern coast, ending with several days in Perth (no car while there). We've plans do see Rottnest Is, and some things in Fremantle. Thoughts on the Fremantle Street Festival the Monday following Easter? Any interesting small music venues in Perth? Looking forward to all your suggestions! Thanks so much.
Question for pilots: I live in the flight path for planes descending into our small (but international) airport (BTV). Planes go over our house, then circle back and land about 10 - 15 min later. I can't guess what altitude they are at when they go over, but they are in descent. I live at 1700' elevation in a very rural area, so there are few other house lights. When I notice a plane going overhead at night, I flick my bright outdoor light 3 times and my indoor cathedral light 3 times, then I go out on my deck and watch and wave. Sometimes I get the distinct impression that the planes veer slightly so they go right over our house when I do that. The other night we thought a plane actu
