A nurse bullied her colleagues for years. Did her bosses do enough?
walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/nurse-made-...So this week:
- I gave blood.
- Got into size 18 M&S trousers
- Am no longer morbidly obese (BMI 39.7 I thank you, after around 7-8 years)
🩸I get called through to go through my history and highlight that I'm on Blood pressure meds..... Then suddenly realise I've got to tell them I'm on Tirzepatide.
The lady I was giving the info too wasn't a nurse - as she was unsure of the name (very common) Ramipril. And was rightly looking it up to check it's ok to go ahead. As she's looking it up, she then asked about my height and weight I told her 107kg and she said oh you were 117kg last time you donated (5 yrs ago - shocking amount of time I know) it then dawned on me, so I highlighted I'm also

I nearly fell off the scales this morning when it read 111.8kg
When I began at end of August, I started well but I've been a bit haphazard the last week or so (travels put a spanner into the usual routine) I've gone up to 3mg for the last 2 weeks and whilst I feel satiated for a significant amount of time, the cravings and appetite suppression has waned.
I don't know about anyone else, but my self sabotage is strong and MJ had switched that off - though now I sense it creeping back in.
So my plan over the next 2 days is to regroup. Work out my TDEE and plan some interesting recipes and snacks. Plan some simple weights and activities into my days.

I'm not sure what's the best option for me for my next pen/dose.
*Usually inject on a Sunday. *I get paid this Friday. *I have had all 4 doses of my 1st pen 2.5mg. (I still have it in the fridge) *I've lost nearly 6kg in 4 weeks. *I've had minimal side effects (very mild transient nausea, occasional loose stool)
I haven't had complete appetite suppression but I think I'm ok with that because I feel part of my learning is recognising the signs and dealing with it - not eradicating the signs completely.
This week though, I did have a sweet tooth cravings and munched quite a few ginger biscuits with a cuppa. And some chocolate. I've tried not to beat myself up about this and to look at
As the title mentions...
I work in a niche area of Neuro and we've had an amazing SpR who's been hugely supportive. He technically rotated in Feb but stayed with the team to help out with clinics (and obv gain more experience).
He is finally off to a different health board in a few weeks and the team are gutted (We are hoping when he CCT's he will return to us)
I wanted to get a decent present to say thanks. He told me the feedback I'd given him for his ePortfolio was the best he'd ever received. (which choked me up a bit, I'll be honest)
He is Somali and one of the team suggested treats like Halwad, doolsho or biscuits. I don't know whether that would feel 'special enough' and we

Feeling raw this evening with mixed emotions.
A patient who's been known to my service just over a year.
No definitive diagnosis
Body is basically giving up on them now in cardiac and resp failure.
They are fully cognisant, full capacity and decided they can no longer carry on.
Ending all treatment at the end of this week. Their death is predicted imminent after withdrawal of treatment.
I totally respect their wishes obviously but I feel heartbroken for them and their wonderful family. Whilst I've supported them I haven't really shown my feelings to them as I don't think it's professional. (It's not my grief)
I've worked in loads of different places and had loads of different

Hi, I've read through most of the information on ABTF and its been really helpful but I'm still confused about my shape and just wondering if this is why I'm getting different results.
Was previously wearing (back riding up) 40G / 38H (Spilling over the top near gore but gap at tail of spence)
ABTF - recommends 38J (The few that I've tried have all been WAY to big all around the cup)
Loose - 41 in
Snug - 39
Tight - 36
Standing 51
Leaning 55
Lying 51.5
Bratabase - recommends 36 H (I can't really get a 36 on - I struggle with 38 but I'm willing to for the right bra)
Comfortable ribcage 94.0 cm
Loose ribcage 104.1
Tight ribcage 91.4
Horizontal perimeter*45.
I just found out an ex work colleague (from my previous employer) has applied for a senior post in my new (1 yr) employment.
This may come across as sour grapes but I'm really hoping it's not.
TLDR - ex colleague has applied for a job at my new work place. I believe they really aren't a good fit and would cause problems. If they didn't get the senior job my boss might offer them a similar role to what they are doing now (we are a little short right now) Do I tell me boss I have reservations.
Background: I've actively sought for a different ex work colleague (let's call them Fred) to apply for a recent job. Fred is very experienced 10yrs , has a key academic course under their belt, wo
Sorry if this has been commented on, I couldn't see anything in recent posts.
My Fitbit has updated to include sleep stages: awake, R.E.M. Light and deep sleep. Last night was my first collection of data.
I think it's much improved from the previous info it used to give you. Which didn't always show me as restless or awake and conflicted with my sleep app. It will be interesting to analyse my sleep for sure because I never feel it's great quality.
However when I woke this morning bang on 0800 (no alarm) I looked at the time... naturally. Then rolled over and grabbed my phone to open the app.
It's included the 4 mins it took me from immediately waking up to opening the app as 'awake
