Anyone giving away 2 fanfest tickets for 7/9 in Atlanta?
Hi so my journey is a little weird. I only studied 6 weeks for my MCAT last year and got a 507 but it came back in late august and due to sudden health issues I had to withdraw from the app cycle but not after submitting some primaries already. My advisor at the time had told me I wouldn't be a reapplicant as long as I dont submit secondaries. I didn't know I could email schools and individually withdraw my app since amcas wouldn't let me officially withdraw. So now Im a reapp to like 9 schools :/. I was going to improve my mcat starting april to take in june after getting to a better place with the health issues, but I also didn't realize till early May i would need to completely redo my ap
Those of you who started med school young, I mean 20-23, how the heck did y'all know how to study and not be afraid of the MCAT let alone be wise enough to know how to tackle it?
I was always a high achieving kid but somehow a bad college experience that came from the desire to pursue things beyond academics got me sidetracked because I didn't want my whole life to be pre-med. That also meant not being intentional about research or staying on top of things like the MCAT because I was so busy putting out personal fires from the bad experience. But I think back to when I was 21 or younger and genuinely think wtf was I doing and how did I lose sight of what my goal was the entire time by thin
Anyone willing to share their deck with me please? I’ve already dropped so much money on resources I don’t want to buy another thing. I’d really appreciate it!
What have people's experience been with this company? Personally, I've felt like there's support but it's not strong to the point of me feeling confident in their decision-making and have had some moments where a key thing was missed in my journey despite detailed and constant communication with coaches that has led to more issues in my journey. Like they are all med students, residents, and physicians, but do they really know what the app cycle requires now compared to a few years ago and do they even care unless they get paid? I feel like it's a scam because how many of them actually served on admissions committees and how many of them actually know how to teach compared to giving the gene
Hey, I'm a POC female looking for psychiatrists who are genuinely good when specializing in these and take insurance. I left my psych a while ago after undergoing ketamine treatment for MDD that wasn't working and feeling like my meds were constantly being changed and not doing me any good. I'm with an NP right now and she's great because she really listens but she's overseen by that same psych and diagnosed me with ADHD and I'm just not sure if that's what I have. At least everyone around me thinks that's not what I have. I think it's more CPTSD causing depression/anxiety with some signs of ADHD and the stimulants help a lot with emotional regulation and not acting on my emotions but rather
Has anyone been a patient at this center and is willing to share their experience or allow me to dm them with some questions? I can’t seem to find any reviews about this place or their therapists. Especially the director Dr. Carrie Diamond, PsyD.
Anyone else have a bad experience at Atlanta DBT and is willing to explain why and share their experiences and thoughts on the individual therapists there? I've felt like I wasted time and money there and they kept saying I wasn't using the skills properly but even though they make sense to me I'm just not able to apply them. The dude therapist there goes on long philosophical rants and says crap that has nothing to do with your specific situation but rather is general life advice and says he believes all the work is to be done by the individual outside of therapy and he's only there to pick up certain words or patterns you might be seeing incorrectly but he isn't there to process any trauma

Hey guys I've been out of my EMT program for almost two years now and plan on taking the cognitive NREMT exam soon. I found these youtube videos ARES EMTB that was basically like sitting through the entire course again but virtually minus some chapter such as operations. I also have the crash course book and have occasionally looked at the textbook. People recommended Dan Limmer's remediation course but it's $150. The issue I'm having is he has two plans: the remediation for 150 which is recommended to those who have been out for too long or failed multiple times, and the premium plan for those who are in the class or just finished and need guidance throughout for $20/month. THe plans includ
Has anyone tried guardian test prep and really liked it compared to the Limmer's refresher course? If you have tried guardian test prep are the 13 videos they provide short videos to explain big topics or are they 2 hour reviews for each of the 5 categories? Could you also provide a breakdown of what else the guardian test prep had and if you felt the practice questions were similar to the NREMT?
Hey y'all anyone know where to find the accurate vital signs that are safe to follow for the NREMT? Many sources vary by 10 beats per min or by 5 breaths per min. Just wanted to check how much it matters!
