I dropped the entire piece, partially grated already so it’s got some open edges, into the blueberry-rhubarb mixture for my pie. Nutmeg seems so porous, and it’s sadly wet and not simply dirty. Is there any way to safely salvage this or should I just give it up for lost? If every dollar didn’t matter right now I wouldn’t worry about it so much. Thanks for your help.
Hi everyone, I’m very new at this and am still trying to understand the basics, so please forgive my ignorance. I’m shopping for my 12 y.o. son’s birthday gift, he wants gaming headphones with a mic that are compatible with iPad 10 or newer specifically, but cross-platform capabilities would be wonderful as we also have a PC, a switch, and a PS5. His specific request was a Sony WH-1000M4 but these are significantly outside of my budget. I would happily spend $150 USD but more would be difficult. He also uses headphones to listen to music but rarely to watch TV, and some degree of noise cancellation would be a big plus as it can be a noisy household. I feel like I’m asking a lot for the budge
This chapter is often held up as being about the hostility of nature towards human life, and there’s a certainly support for that. However, I’d like to suggest an alternative reading.
As the kid and Sproule make their trek through the (ostensibly) lifeless wasteland and the massacred village, stumbling along dehydrated and hungry, McCarthy spends a little more time than usual on the plant life when setting the scene, and I realized with some interest that a lot of the plants he names are in fact edibles. Specifically the prickly pear, the “deadlylooking bayonet plant,” and ocotillo. Ocotillo gets multiple mentions, which is fascinating because it’s also used to treat coughing, bleeding, and
Hi everyone, I’ve recently inherited a large mess and the town dump where I live has just converted to recycling only. Google hasn’t been much help as I keep getting sponsored ads for businesses that don’t seem to exist anymore.
Is anyone aware of a dump, preferably relatively near West Hartford, where I can purchase a membership to take carloads of assorted trash? Or have an alternative suggestion? Thanks for your help.
Hey, I’m looking at getting myself some nice flatwounds on my second bass for fun and a little sonic flexibility. However, there seems to be less available variety in the string gauge sizes, and as I play in a metal band and we play down a full step, I was wondering if anyone had experience with drop tunings and flats. Will they be super floppy? Will a good setup have me covered? Thanks for any help.
I’m well into a playthrough (a month IRL over I don’t know how many hours) and I suddenly had a few pandoran lairs appear around one of my bases. One of them I can’t seem to attack or otherwise interact with. I have gone back to earlier and earlier save files but in every single one it seems to stay glitched this way. Is the slow drain on my faction popularity, or some other unforeseen consequence, going to end my playthrough here? Or should I try to persevere? I love this game but these glitches are such a bummer.
I’m trying to improve my timing from good enough to great. I get ads for these things and am curious if anyone has actually tried one and what they think. I struggle with my traditional metronome practice and can imagine that the tactile experience of wearing it miiiiiight help… or these might be a gimmick? Hoping someone has braved those waters before me. Thanks!
