Hey there,

I recently purchased a Nomos Ludwig 36mm with a DUW 3001.

I didn’t notice in the shop, but when I got home the first thing I noticed is the watch is quite loud. There’s almost a springy, rattling sound when I move it. I think it’s the sound of the rotor potentially? Or different elements inside the watch moving?

Is this common for this kind of watch? I know it’s fairly thin but to me the noise feels a bit cheap? I don’t know.

My only other watch is a ORIS and it makes no sound at all.

Wondering if I got a defect or if this is a common thing for Nomos.

Hey all,

I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost exactly on year ago - adjusting to this new lifestyle has been a journey.

Since diagnosis, I haven’t travelled much. And, when I have, my girlfriend and I usually stay at an Airbnb so I have a kitchen of some sort as a home base to cook meals if needed.

Well, one of my best friends is getting married and decided to have his bachelor party in Vegas. I’m thrilled to spend time with old friends, but I’m terrified of getting glutened.

Luckily, my friends (well most anyway) know I have an allergy and will do their best to accommodate, however there will be meals that come with risk. Unfortunately the hotel we’re staying in doesn’t have micr

Hi all,

Mods, you can delete this if it's not allowed, but I hope this is within scope of this sub.

A bit of background: I'm a full-time MBA student who will be graduating in the summer of next year. I'm very fortunate to have received a job offer for after graduation - the pay is really good, the company is a leader in the industry I want to be in, and it's the exact role I want. The only downside is that where I will be working is quite remote. Historically, this company takes candidates who are a bit older, usually with families, but they really liked me and decided to give me an offer.

Hi all,

I've done some searching and haven't found much to answer my questions specifically.

Hi everyone,

I recently moved in with a guy who owns a young (sorry I don't know the exact age) Miniature Pinscher named Max. I grew up with dogs, so the idea of moving in with someone who has one never really concerned me. I typically always get along with and enjoy dogs. However, ever since I moved in, Max has gotten more and more aggressive towards me. When I first moved in, I understood because it was a big change and I was unfamiliar, but things haven't gotten any better.

It hasn't gotten to the point where Max has bitten me yet, but I feel if I were to make a wrong move he might. Essentially I've had to hole up in my room since I moved in because if I go to any common area he barks a

Hi all,

After a ton of work, I'm super proud to finally have some offers on the table. I'm actually waiting on a few more schools, but I have a feeling my decision will be between the schools I've listed here.

A bit about me: I'm a marketing profession with 4 years of experience in the Healthcare space. I hope to stay in healthcare post-MBA, but I am open to other options such as pivoting to consulting or becoming brand manager at a CPG company. I understand that both schools are very regional and, all things considered, I enjoy both DC and Minneapolis. Also, I'm a US citizen.

My offers:

- Maryland Smith: full-ride scholarship + a graduate assistantship that comes with a monthly sti

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process in choosing between the schools I was accepted to. My first choice school accepted me with a ~25% scholarship. The other schools I was accepted to are offering me a full-ride. I don't have a ton of liquid assets and I'm coming from a pretty low-salary job so the financial burden of an MBA (taking out loans, moving, etc.) is stressing me out somewhat.

I'm curious, if I were to accept the lower scholarship offer and attend my first choice, is it common for students in year two to receive more scholarship money? Or is that unlikely?

For reference, my first choice is in the T25-30 range, other schools are T35-T40.

Thanks!

On one of my free consults with an mba consultant, she recommended that I look into doing a class called "Math for Managers." Apparently it's something they recommend applicants do if they don't have a strong math background, or a great quant score, but want to show they can handle math course work.

I've done a little research and haven't seen this recommended anywhere else. Has anyone heard of this, or is this considered a good strategy?

If it helps, I want to apply to Carlson/Wisconsin/Kelley and I have a Q39.
