Hello!
I am writing a game where you take the role of ghost hunting influencers/live-streamers. The game is pretty much ready. I am just writing some haunted houses for players to tackle.
Because of that I need some evil people to become evil spirits that would haunt some places. I already want to use Giles de Rais (a very evil guy), but I need some other historical despicable people, preferably some that did their evil deeds with their own hands, and could leave some... Let's call it souvenirs.
I need some fenrisan Runes. The best would be Fenris or other chapter shouts. Please give some examples quickly before the paint dries!
I have a rule question regarding this strategram from the Beastslayers detachment.
In the text of the strategram, I can make a surge move after I was selected as a shooting target. Seems clear.
The rules for surge moves state that I can make a surge move if I fulfill the requirements.
So if I was selected as target of shooting by something that is 3 inches away from my Blood Claws, used this strat, and rolled a four, I end within engagement range and prevent the shooting?
Or I need to get shot first?
Hello! I am looking for any interesting hacking systems. And by hacking I mean working with computers. It doesn't matter if it's cyberpunk, modern, realistic or cinematic and for some extra points it would be great if this would work with the hacker as a part of a larger group and avoid the hacker in a van stereotype (or maybe do something really cool with it).
Hello! I am working on a game about Youtuber/influencer/ghost hunters, and I need a mechanic for generating "likes" during a lifestream. At this point I use rolling a number of d6. The number of d6s depends on what happens on camera. It goes from 1d6 to 7d6, with exploding 6 (going viral). If you have a special character trait 5s also explodes.
The main problem is, that it takes time. The game moves very fast and rolling and counting exploding dice can take too much time. Especially because the game uses real time to adjudicate stuff. Stopping the counter, breaks the flow of the game.
I use a dice roller for this part, so maybe it compounds the issue. Maybe a dice roller or app that counts
Hello!
I will be playing my first game of Horus Heresy 3rd edition. We will play at 1500 points and I will play Space Wolves against Word Bearers. And I need some help in list building. We can proxy pretty much anything and I would like a list that would stand a chance against those pesky chaos worshipers and would be a good intro to 30k Space Wolves. Can someone give me some advice or even a full list?
I played some older editions of 40k, like fourth, but that was ages ago. Then I started playing in 9th an most of my games are from 10th.
So I just started this campaign and I am on turn thirty I think, and I have some thoughts.
This campaign is hard. You weren't kidding. And that is great. The unforgiving low replenishment, and costly units really give the vibe of playing a dying race.
The units are powerful, but delicate, so you need to be careful with them. And that is also great.
My only quibble is with Lasgalan Rangers (the Legolas unit) shouldn't they have a 360 firing arc? And fire on the run?
Maybe that's just my fantasy of playing Legolas in an army but in my mind this guys should be an equivalent to waywarchers in Warhammer. They are still cool, but they seem to be missing some mobility to better harras the enemy
Hello! I am looking for a custom dice roller. Either an app or a website. I need to have an ability to create and roll custom dice. And what is more important to reroll some, but not all of the dice.
Does anyone knows anything like this?
Hello I am running a Cyberpunk Game with a smattering of Supernatural elements in my own custom engine.
And I need some music. I need:
- Combat playlist
- Tension playlist
- Calm playlist
And some general music that would fit the genre.
And some music for clubs.
I already use music from the Cyberpunk 2077 game and some Doom (2016) music.
Something that can be found on Spotify would be best.
Hello
I am looking at different rules for heat or wanted levels in TTRPG.
I already know rules from Blades in the Dark, but I am curious what else there is.
Hello
I read a lot of freeform magic systems. Like most of them. Ars Magica, Mage, the True Sorcery, Black Company
I also tried creating my own freeform magic system.
I realized that most of the time, the spells that are cast by players are not very magical?
Like they are creating the simplest effects.
Maybe it's less pronounced in game with only mages, when they have more time to create spells. Because in games with different "classes" this really pronounced.
Like, I remember very powerful spells, but very few that seemed like magic.
Anybody encountered a similar problem? Or maybe know some games where magic is freeform and yet feels magical?
Hello
Of course I don't mean the world for being big. But the god Huge from the game!
Once on this sub someone said that his name in Swedish had some extra meaning that was lost in the English translation. The game is now being translated in to Polish, and they decided to leave the English name. Which is a lost opportunity.
So I would like to now the Swedish name toaybe propose something more appropriate than using the English name.
Hello!
I just got curious. Is there a game where there are some meaningful differences between thrusting and cutting with a sword? Or taking an axe swing.
I remember that in Riddle of Steel both actions had different Target Numbers depending on the weapon type, and they got different wound types.
Mythras has different Critical Effects.
Are there any other games which differentiate between those actions? Either by weapon, action or damage, design?
Hey is there any info on the release of 1.64 rules? We have the changelog for campaign rules but still no 1.64 campaign rules or core rules?
Will there be any rules drop, before the official release? Or we need to wait more?
