This will be my first quarter of my first year at UCSC, in proposed comp sci major. I have 2 years comp sci/programming experience in high school, but it was mostly in Java. I've written a little bit of python, but not a lot. And no C experience. I know most of the comp sci basics pretty well (got 4 on ap test), but not sure how quickly I could translate it to python for my classes. Do you think I should start CSE 20, 30, or maybe even 12?

PS: How hard is math 19a for someone average at math that didnt do any calc in high school but passed precalc

Today's the deadline to pay the SIR deposit and accept my offer of admission. I went onto the portal and fully filled out the form, and it ended with saying that I've been accepted as a student. However I see nowhere to pay any fee or deposit for my acceptance. My only option under the to-do list is check residency options, which says it may take a couple days to update and I can't do it right now. I'm worried that by then I'll be denied due to the deadline. Am I just fucked? Already sent them an email.

-Ringmaster Greymane has updated sound effects for his gun and cane.

-Adventure Li Li's umbrella will open when using specific abilities or Jug of One Thousand Cups.

-Ribbit Lucio's aura has frog symbols around the edge that rotate when using W.

-Grave keeper Malthael's ability are tinted greenish.

-Magus Medivh's abilities are a much brighter, arcane blue.

-Lord Muradin has a new golden avatar.

-King Stitches has a new hook

Most of these seem related to being old master skins. A couple are minor enough that I can definitely see them choosing not to list them (Ringmaster Grey, Adventurer Li Li), but on the other hand I feel like some of the more obvious

Just a fun post to have some fun discussion on ideas for some interesting late game (level 16 - level 20) active talents. I have to say, a lot of these talents are my favorites in the game, they feel flavorful and they add some interesting gameplay.

Also, recently there's been a lot of heroes with only 3 talents at 20 (which makes only 2 pickable), so I wanted to spark some discussion on ideas that could make level 20 talent tiers feel a bit bigger.

So, here's my idea for illidan!

Illidan - Eye Beam (replaces bolt of the storm)

Charge up to channel over 3 seconds, dealing heavy ability damage in a line in front of you. 30 second cooldown.

Just a simple big laser eye beam for Illidan, j

Posting this because I honestly have no idea. Never played Destiny, hardly know what its about, but as I heard it's coming to the Blizzard client, I have to wonder if Blizzard is considering adding Destiny heroes to HotS? I have no idea how that would work, but I wanted to hear some discussion on if this would be possible or not, and if people would want it.

Personally, im a huge Blizzard fanboy and I'm not sure how I'd feel about it. I'd really want Blizzard heroes to have a massive priority, but perhaps in the far future we could consider it?

Heya! I'm currently on a very low winrate as Genji (note: all in Quick Match) Now, I've definitely learned to take QM with a grain of salt, but I do feel I can improve on Genji.

My normal build: Agile Dismount, Shuriken Mastery, Cyber Shield, Depends, Double Jump, Reflect, Zanshin.

What do you guys think? As far as I know this is HORSEPANTS' build, but I'm really not sure if this is the best. Im really not sure if Agile Dismount is worth taking at 1, but the other options dont seem too helpful either. At 7, it seems situational with Cyber Shield vs Dodge, but then there's also Perfect Defense, but im not sure when exactly youd want that over the other defensive talents. At 10, it seems pr

Yeah yeah, first week of the expansion so everybody's gotta be hype, but I'm sorry, I really wanted to post this.

I wanted to appreciate Blizzard's design of elementals, as when they were announced, I, as well as some other people i think, thought that they would continue a boring trend of cards similar to jade golems, with just infinitely stacking creatures that get stronger. I remember that when elementals were announced I was like "..So, they get rewarded for playing them in consecutive turns? So... Curvestone?"

But it turns out, they are MUCH more interesting than that. Igneous Elemental and Fire Fly create really interesting playstyles, where you can play Elemental cards without havin

hey!

I want to play 2.0 and test all the new stuff out in game, and suppoedly you can get gems with the repeatable 3 games quest. However, it only worked for me once, and now its not there anymore, and after 3 games i get no reward. Is this intended, or am i supposed to be able to repeat it infinitely? Thanks.
