Help! Before leaving on a trip to the UK I confirmed with a chat rep that native international roaming should work on the unlimited premium plan. Now that I am here, I have voice and text, but no data. Chat support is now saying UK isn’t available and there’s nothing they can do.
I don’t mind creating a new data eSIM, but would like some clarity on what the correct method is here.

Hey Lighting Experts! I'm in the middle of a kitchen remodel and am choosing between the Nora Iolite and Elco Koto Canless. Smooth dimming is very important to me, so I'm looking for feedback on which one is less likely to flicker or have an unsteady output when dimmed. Any thoughts or insights appreciated. Thanks!
A while back I remember seeing some articles about a Tapo smart thermostat but it seems to have been canceled? Has anyone heard any news / rumors on this product. Would like to try it out when it becomes available and expand my Tapo ecosystem.
Recently built myself a new mini ITX build with a Gigabyte B650I AORUS ULTRA and AMD Ryzen 8600G APU. Put it all in a super small case to make a slick dedicated Ubuntu machine.
Went to install and I can boot from the USB and see the GRUB menu, but once I click on install it just goes to a black screen. The LED on my flash drive continues to flash for a while, so I think everything is loading, it's just the graphics that aren't working. Win 11 installer seems to be fine so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Is this just my punishment for choosing new hardware :).
Hi All.
I'm looking for your experience with download speeds from VPS providers. Using the looking glass function of many providers, they all seem to be maxing out at about 25Mbps from the server to my computer. It seems weird to me that they are all the same so I'm wondering if this is some established standard or if there's some other issue I should investigate?
Hi All,
Anyone here from southeast Michigan? What kind of prices are you guys seeing in recent quotes? I have multiple quotes and they are all about $4.25/Watt cash. Doesn't matter if Solaredge and Q-Cells or REC and Enphase, all $4.25/watt. Seems odd to me. Does anyone have any points of comparison? Thanks!
Cant steam any channels on any devices right now, appears to be a widespread outage according to downdetector. Anyone else having issues?
EDIT: Seems to be back online now. Will keep an eye on it. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
I'm considering setting up an indoor hotspot, but not sure if it would be worth it. I'm in the suburbs and the nearest hotspot is 5km away according to the coverage map. Do you think think this would be close enough to be useful?
Is there support for the Realtek RTL8111H LAN chipset baked into the kernel on 20.1? I see some conflicting info in the forums so I was wonder what the consensus is in 2021. Looking to build a new machine so I am attempting to pick compatible hardware from the beginning.
EDIT: Thanks everyone for the help, got the ASRock B550M-ITX/AC and the LAN chipset works fine.
Hi All,
Recently checked and I have the 125k MR Points offer available to me for the Platinum Card. I have been doing a lot of reading and understand that some of the Home Depot and Best Buy offers are only for accounts opened before 11/1. My question is, what kind of Amex offers should I expect as as a new account? I don't think I will be traveling until next year due to covid, so I would like to use similar offers to help offset the fee in the first year. Any datapoints would be appreciated, thanks!
I have an XPS 9360 thats about 3 years old. Recently, the AC adapter has been shutting off randomly (no LED on the DC jack) and I have to unplug from the wall and re-plug it in to get it working again. It does not happen the moment I plug in the laptop, but a seemingly random amount of time after plugging the laptop in. It might be 5min, or when the laptop is nearly fully charged.
Is there any diagnostic I can run to tell me if the adapter is the problem or if the laptop it telling the adapter to shut down? I have a feeling it's the adapter but it's in like new physical condition (no frayed wires or bent pins, etc.). Thanks!
I just finished setting up an OpenVPN tunnel on my EdgeRouter 4, to connect to private internet access. I have it configured to encrypt all traffic to eth0 and and had no problem setting it up.
The problems started when I restarted the router. After a reboot, the vtun0 interface shows as up, but I have no internet connectivity. If I disable, then re-enable the vtun0 connection, everything works fine until I restart again. Any thoughts on what can cause this? I see some others have posted scripts to restart OpenVPN, but in my case OpenVPN is working, but there is no communication.
I'm using version 2.4.0 and the EdgeRouter is fully updated. Any guidance on what I should investigate
