I've got a white sm550 that I want to paint black. Has anyone had any luck doing this, and is there any specific type of spray paint that would work best?

Hey guys, I've been making kombucha for a while now, and while I've experimented with the bases a little bit, I've never tried a "beer" kombucha.

Essentially the restaurant at which I work had a cask event, and has about 8L of dark lager left over. We generally prefer lighter beers for our fermented products, so I thought about making kombucha from it. Is that possible? Has anyone tried it?

My main concern is with the higher alcohol to begin with, I'd have to either start with less sugar or end up with a much more sour product. Secondly, I don't know how I'd measure the final ABV, since it's starting at around 5.5%. If anyone has ever tried something like this, I'd like to know your experi

Recently got a phanteks LED for my case. When I set something in armory crate, it's recognized and syncs with the motherboard. But if I want to set something different for the strip vs the motherboard via Aura Creator, it doesn't show up under available devices. Has anyone else had this issue and are there any solutions?

I'm using the b450-i motherboard, with the LED plugged into the 5v d-RGB header

Hey everyone, I often see people use ascorbic acid when making green purees/pesto/green oil in an effort to conserve the green colour. However it was my understanding that acidity reacts with chlorophyll and will brown it. Is ascorbic acid so different from citric/acetic acid that it will somehow protect the colour? Or have people just assumed that since it works with fruit oxidation it will also work for chlorophyll oxidation?

I was thinking of getting an acrylic side panel for my sm550, and cutting a 92mm hole overtop of the cpu heatsink. What's the best way of cutting acrylic nicely? Would a hole saw work? Or would it risk damaging the rest of the panel?

I've heard cast vs extruded acrylic mentioned before (with regards to how brittle it is), what type do you use on your sm series?

As an aside, I grabbed the new axp-90 x53 and it is an absolutely fantastic cooler. It's pretty close to the side panel so generates a little turbulence, which is how I got thinking about cutting a hole in the first place.

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has had any luck/made a replacement bracket for the am4 version that's been rotated 90 degrees? The way the fins align, it doesn't exhaust the air out of the case very well. It just blows directly into the ram and the vrm/io. I know there are similar brackets made for the C7G, would they be compatible?

I recently bought an SM550, and I have 2 nf-s12a fans for exhaust (left over from my previous case). The fan under the PSU is quiet and runs well, but the fan under the motherboard makes quite a lot of noise when it runs up. I haven't heard anyone else have this problem, but I also haven't seen anyone else use nf-s12a fans in it either. Could this extra noise be due to the fact it's a lower pressure fan? The noise is makes is sort of a turbulent/buffeting sound.

So I've seen a lot of posts on social media of places serving beautiful looking octopus with the skin fully in tact. How do they achieve this? Any time I've cooked octopus I find the skin just falls off if you look at it wrong. I've tried sous vide, braiding you, and even a long low steam in a combi oven. Is any skin on octopus just lightly cooked, and if so, how do you achieve a good texture that way? I also come from a land locked province so my octopus is either frozen or a day+ old

Is there any way to turn off the power status LEDs on the Strix 2070? I want the rest of the RGB, just not the white LEDs

Hey guys, I currently have a system running a 1060 3gb mounted vertically that I'm looking to upgrade, and lots of cards these days seem to have coolers thicker than 2 slots. Does anybody know how the vertical mount functions on a h500i with a card like a 2070rog that's 2.5 slots thick? Or what the maximum thickness that fits the vertical mount is?

Hey guys I just finished a build and I'm looking for a piece to help with a bit of cleaner cable management. Is there a connector available for a 20-1 pin (the usb 3 on the motherboard) at 90 degrees? I've got an Asus b350f and an h500i nzxt case and when I plug the usb 3 into the MOBO it just stands upright. I haven't had any luck googling but maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing?

Hey guys, I've been trying to make a nice green sorrel oil, and I'm struggling. Blanching the sorrel makes it the most awful colour, and just pureeing it in oil results in just an okay oil. Are there any tricks to doing this, or do I have to just fortify the colour with parsley or spinach or something?

I've had shrimp in restaurants that don't appear to be deveined ie there is no slit down the back and they are perfectly in tact. Is there another method to deveining that I don't know about, or are they just not cleaned? To clarify this has been at some rather decent places, not just some little greasy spoon.
