Mir sind in Europa bereits im Hybridchrieg mit Russland. Sich no meh z isoliere hilft nur Russland. Uf ihre Shit-List si mer ja bereits, also hilft no strengeri Neutralität au nüm. Dä Zug isch längst abgfahre.

So I feel like a ad-hoc "cool/heat now" button is missing from the e-Golf and programming the climate control via the menu every time you just want it to run for a few minutes is a pain. Also the feature via App exists, but either costs money or no longer works due to that generation of cell service no longer being supported.

But I found a hack! Using VCDS (or I guess OBDeleven could also work) you can code the car to be lockable even when on. So park, leave the car running (or restart if it switches off when you open the door), and lock the car from the outside. This is with keyless start, so the key does not remain in the car.

So my 2017 eGolf has an almost new 12V battery (installed and coded in January 2026).
Today i found the car dead.

I jump started it, read out the logs with VCDS.
After recharging 12V and clearing all the faults, everything is back to normal.

The trigger of the event seems to be this DTC:

I have significant exposure to USD and the american market in ETFs I hold both as 3a and free investments.
At the same time the ongoing crazyness of the american administration is concerning - the tariff frenzy will deglobalize world trade and has the potential to cause a recession that will rival the great depression.
Furthermore there is the risk of further crazyness (e.g. unforeseen tax changes or even loosing access to the investment).

Hello all,

Is there an overview somewhere of the different bottle types (maybe with thread specs?) available across different brands of carbonation devices? There seem to be some subtle differences between different bottle types making them incompatible.

E.g. a SodaStream 425g CO2 cylinder seems to have a different thread than a comparable Grohe or a Qooker CO2 cylinder.

If I look at some third party cylinder vendors, there seem to be up to 4 different types floating around.

I have multiple (e.g. 15) rasters with values, and would like to create a resulting raster with the n-th ranked (e.g. 3rd ranked) value out of all of these rasters.

I found this answer: qgis - Get cell value based on its rank position from an input raster collection - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange - but that only seems to work for specific ranks - e.g. median or a specific quartile, not any rank.

I want to recreate a 3D render from a known position.

However there does not seem to be any obvious way I can control the 3D view camera to a defined coordinate? Can the camera really only be moved via mouse controls, so I have to workaround this by manually gestimating the position?

I can find american machines, but we have 230V around here...

I can find plenty of inefficent single exhaust hose monoblock AC units. However I can find none (anymore - they used to be some available...) with dual hoses.

By dual hoses i mean the intake and exhaust side of the condensor, not an extension for the evaporator exhaust (cold side) which is basically just a single hose system with an extension in terms of efficiency.

Any hints?

The camera is part of the area view system used in 2017-current model year euro spec Passat and others (Tiguan, Arteon etc.). Extract from the (German) Shop manual here.
