Alright there’s not a lot to go off of here but maybe you guys can get me in the right direction.

I was with my family in Uganda in 2010 and boarded a small raft with a bunch of Canadian birders. We were on the source of the Nile near Lake Victoria. We were there to look at Hippos but the Canadians were looking for a specific bird.

They were freaking out about how rare this bird was. That people spend there whole lives looking for this bird and we’re so lucky to see it.

It was pretty small. Maybe ~5” in length. It was in a brush a few feet from the water.

I recall it having muted colors but cant remember exactly.

Thats all I got. Figured Id give it a shot.

I wanted to write this post primarily to inspire hope in this community. Whether you're considering surgery or are somewhere on your post-op journey - I can sympathize with the uncertainty, wild swings between hope and hopelessness, and general difficulty of the process. Ultimately, all you can do is be persistent in your PT regime and try to push through those despondent days to achieve an improvement in your quality of life.

I have a battery switch off. You can’t switch the batteries off from the system without killing the solar input first - as everyone knows.

I’ve done it a hundred times correctly. Yesterday I did not. The charge controller beeped at me viciously for a couple seconds before I turned the batteries back on.

Luckily the whole system still works but I’ve noticed my victron battery monitor no longer works. I fear I may have fried the shunt.

It’s still able to calculate the draw from the battery but not the input. % starts at 100 and only goes down even though I know there’s charge coming in.

Anyone have a similar issue or know how to troubleshoot?

It’s Victron model BMV 700.

Feeling pretty stoked about how well recovery is going. Took the hike pretty slow, no pain, just a little weakness/tiredness in the hip.

I used to have a pinch when hiking up hill. I can tell that inhibition is no longer there. Surgery is worth it! Keep doing PT!

So I bought portal 2 in the hopes of playing the co-op with my girlfriend. Turns out we both have 64-bit Macs and can't play any 32-bit Source engine games. Pretty bummed.

Anyone have a good recommendation for us?

28m. 4 months post op was great. Still had hope about a return to normal activities. My PT said I was one of the best recoveries he’d seen. I had probably hiked 6 miles and had ran another 3 in week 16. Feeling great.

The following week I had burning in both hip flexors. My non op hip became very inflamed and began showing pinching and FAI symptoms that havent gone away since. I ceased hiking and running for a bit.

Month 6. My op hip stopped increasing ROM. Interior flexion is severely limited. Exterior has seemed to improved. I can go on a couple 1 mile runs a week but doubt their efficacy. I’m now doubting the surgery’s success and and am unsure what to do with either of my hips.

Wanted to inject some good vibes into the sub. Im 10 weeks post op - fit 28/m. Had cam shaved and labral repair in right hip. Only took Oxy for two days after op. Pain was limited. Hardly ever had to take NSAIDs. Off crutches week 3. Im doin squats now and some very light jogging - supposed to wait until week 12 for that. Ive been back at work walking around no problem. Exterior rotation is the best its been since I first felt impingement in January.

I waited 8 months for surgery after feeling initial symptoms. Id advise against deferring surgery.

Only limits still seem to be my hip flexor and interior rotation. Generally, every day is better than the previous. Im feeling really good abo
