I wish I could let you go
And go back before we first met
Before your eyes locked with mine
Before I knew this suffering
Before I heard my name on your voice
And your laugh at my jokes
Before I smelled your perfume
And started memories with you
Before the butterflies were released
And flew us up high
Before we grew close
So close, we knew
I wish I could stop you
From letting me in
I wish I could stop you
From falling with me
I wish I could stop
Everything at once
Cause maybe it would give me
A moment of peace
Since I walked away
I’ve never been the same
Every waking minute
Is just a horrible dream
A nightmare in real life
Pain so real it chokes me
Life without you
Is like barely breath
For the past year, I’ve been finding my 14 year old stepson is stuffing trash and snack wrappers in our recliner. I’ve asked him repeatedly to throw the trash away, and also asked him repeatedly to stop putting the trash in the cushions. My remote has stopped working. I have attempted the reconnect by holding the left and info button, as well as unplugging the airtv for 10 seconds. I’ve even factory reset the entire device and then tried to reconnect my remote and all it does is flash its light. Any advice before it gets tossed in the trash and I cancel my service? I’ve had it for 2 years. Yes, the batteries are fresh and yes, I’ve followed the online troubleshooting.
Found this sub while searching for the answer, so I’d figure I’d post here and see what response I’ll get. I’m a straight male, whose daughter (16) came out to me and my wife last year. We’ve done our best to support her, and I couldn’t be more proud of how she handles herself. My problem is that her new girlfriend’s parents aren’t really on board with it. They couldn’t see each other for a long time because of this, and although my daughter takes it in stride, I know it affects her. I guess I’m looking for any advice or guidance on how to best handle the “other parents”? Because it honestly infuriates me.
Essentially, my daughter’s girlfriend’s mother believes she is too young to make the
