I think there’s an elegant fix here that Volvo could implement for people who don’t like the double (triple) bars …

They should provide a toggle in Settings to permanently turn on/off the smart widgets bar (top most bar). This way, the home button will toggle the Shortcuts/Contextual bar instead.

I would think no CarPlay (and Android?) user would miss the widget bar. I certainly have NEVER used it since both widgets take you to the CarPlay interface just like the button in the shortcuts bar.

Let me know if I’m not thinking of a scenario where this wouldn’t work.

I’m about 3/4 into the game and was eager to keep going, but now when I attempt to load my saved game, the progress bar gets to about 80% and then the game crashes.

I started a new save and that one loads fine. Also reinstalled the game, but no change with the original change.

Pretty bummed about the lost progress. Anybody else experience this?

The EX30s have started to show up here in Canada and I managed to do a quick test drive with the single motor Plus trim. Coming from a 2023 V60 Recharge (PE), here are some quick thoughts (on mostly driving):

  • There is plenty of power on tap even with the single motor, but it comes on really slow off the line. I didn’t try turning off the ESC though.
  • The infotainment system was much quicker than the AAOS implementation in my V60, and it felt pretty intuitive to use. However, no swipe gesture support to switch between pages/tabs. Climate control has one page for temperature and then another for fan control 🤷‍♂️
  • As I was using the centre screen, I was told several times by the driving a

So I’m not sure when this changed, but I remember being fairly annoyed when I first got my 2023 V60 with AAOS, that once you set a destination in any other maps app using CarPlay (including Google maps), the instrument display would enter Calm mode (blank). This was not the case with my previous Sensus V60.

In any case, it’s a pleasant surprise that now Google maps will always remain in the instrument cluster. All of my saved places stay visible while I can still use Waze on the vertical screen, for example.

Here hoping they keep adding more options for the instrument display (ie. music, energy consumption, themes).

I know Heico sells the Volvo parts to convert the rear bumper back to the pre-2023 style so the newer models are compatible with their line of exhausts and rear diffusers, but has anyone come across any dedicated parts for the hidden exhaust design? I’d like to dress up the rear a bit. I feel like it sits proportionally too high now.

Got my 2023 V60 PE about 6 months ago. Love the car.

For the longest time I left the dampers at the “Dynamic” setting (10 all around) but because of the stiff springs, found the ride far from comfortable (downtown roads are terrible). Setting it to 18 (Comfort) seems to make little difference.

Out of curiosity I decided to change the Öhlins to the “Performance” setting of 4. The character of the ride changed immediately, and to my surprise, I found the jitteriness of the firm dampers to pair much better with the firm springs. It really feels like this is how the car was meant to be configured.

I’m no suspension expert, but it seems as if the dampers clamp down on the springs harder, a

Many of us on this subreddit are getting or considering getting wheels for GT7. I haven't owned a wheel in years but with PSRV2, I decided to get a wheel and seat combo.

I settled on the G923 (refurbished for $310 CDN) with a Playseat Challenge.

My first experience with GT7 was amazing. The wheel and seat together elevated the whole experience. During my second session with the game, something felt off. The wheel was constantly vibrating, buzzing and more clunky overall. I decided to restart the PS5. Problem went away.

Third session. Same issue. Restart. And good to go once more.

With the fourth session, no matter how many times I restarted the PS5, the problem didn't go away. The only t

Car: 2023 V60 T8 Polestar Engineered

Point of reference: Subaru AWD (manual transmission)

Sure, in most driving conditions the car is great at managing traction, but when deep snow hits, I feel like the eAWD system falls apart.

To be fair, much of my complaints might be because since the introduction of AAOS, there is no longer an option to enable ESC Sport Mode. But …

In Pure mode, the system clamps down on the rear wheels hard, and your car goes nowhere. There is a significant delay before the ICE kicks in to engaged the front wheels and when it does, it quickly engages the traction control once more.

In Hybrid mode (with a charged batter), it’s much the same as Pure.

Call me simple, but with my Subaru STI, I would turn off the traction control and lock the centre diff to get out of any deep snow.

Now with my 2023 V60 T8, I’m wondering what are the best practices? Obviously use Constant AWD mode, but as of 2023 there is more ESC Sport Mode so the car just clamps down hard and goes nowhere. It simply refused to spin its wheels.

Does this eAWD system just need you to be patient and continue with light throttle until it figures out that it might be good to spin some wheels?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
