In light of recent developments with reddit, I've opened a Lemmy community on sopuli.xyz as a potential replacement for this subreddit. If any of you plan on jumping ship, consider stopping by and saying hello. For those of you who remain here, I personally won't be able to be here after the API changes go into effect, but this subreddit should continue on regardless. Game on friends, for that is what we do.

As the title says, both Portal and Portal 2 fail to launch on beta and preview builds. I've tested this with two steam decks, both internal storage and SD cards, and have seen it mentioned on the discord server as well. Any stable users able to confirm the games are still playable there?
Basically, I have a Japanese game and need to set LANG to make certain characters print correctly. On steam games, usage of %command% allows this, but on non-steam games %command% seems to have no effect. Short of using a shell script to launch via proton and telling steam it's a native game, is there any way to make this work?
Bit of an odd one. I had them in my account, but it doesn't seem like they're legitimately obtainable anymore. All three demos generate items that can be transferred into the games, so I'd prefer to have them available in case I ever start over. Anyone have any ideas for where I could find these? They don't seem to be available in the megathread. Format doesn't matter to me, as long as it's usable in PPSSPP.
EDIT: Seems the first two are still on the PSN, but didn't pull up for me. I should be able to get them somehow given that. Anyone have any idea about the third? Though I'd still accept easy sources on the first two as well.
EDIT 2: Got the P3 multiplayer demo via nopaystation, I'll se
Seeing the Mode7 upscaling stuff, I wanted to give it a chance. Thing is, I've had nothing but problems from it so far. Save states revert to old states randomly, proper saves don't actually write to disk and aren't available on game restart, achievements don't register, cheats don't work... is the core broken, or is something going severely wrong that I can somehow potentially fix?
Mind you, I haven't had these issues in any other cores that I use, including snes9x, and spanning from Atari variants to PS1 and GC/Wii.
Mint 19.2, using the ppa. Core is bsnes HD 110. Most testing was done on Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (USA).
I've had three PSPs over the years, all of which have met grim fates. Finally justified buying a mostly-functional one. Thing is, I legally own a -lot- of PSP games (150 or so?) and a pile of DLC, but I prefer to play them on PPSSPP. As such my goal is ripping my UMDs and decrypting my DLC so I have access. What do I need to accomplish this? Just a basic CFW, or something specific with extra software? Any extra hardware?
RetroArch has added the ability to submit frames to a translation service and have it auto-translate either overlay text or TTS while playing retro games. Right now, the only way I see is to use google's api, which I'm not keen on for multiple reasons. Does anyone happen to know of any self-hosted option that might be able to work for this sort of application? It doesn't even have to work well, I'm just looking for any hint of an option.
I realize there are a few rudimentary ones, like the one bundled into Binary Eye, but do any full-featured foss QR Code generators exist? At a minimum I want to be able to tweak redundancy level, and I haven't seen any offer that.
I've been wanting to play Bahamut Lagoon again, but the translation patch is for the headered rom and I have the headerless. I prefer softpatching to keep my database entries intact, which means I also don't want to have to convert the rom to headered. I did find a python tool that claims to do what I need, but it errored out on both python 2 and 3, and I'm not familiar enough with python to know how to fix it.
Finally rebuilding after a year or two disassembled and my o-rings haven't fared well. I use the iJoy Combo myself, but I only had replacements for 5/7 o-rings. Is there any good source for o-rings, preferably with sizing info available? I haven't seen anything thus far.
Worst case I'll get them mic'd and go to McMaster, but I'd rather not have to do that.
Been using a Rouleaux RX2/3 on ArcticFox on and off for years now, but I run titanium wire exclusively and Wismec mods aren't exactly known for great TC. I'd like to buy a better mod. Was hoping to get a DNA 250c, likely the Triade, with the St. Patrick's Day sales, but everyone was out of stock. I don't know much about the current state of mods, or the options out there. I definitely want three batteries if possible. Not really worried about cost if the mod is good enough that I won't ever have to replace it. Anyone have any thoughts?
EDIT: I did end up getting the Triade, after doing more research myself. Thought about a yihi, but there are far too many reports of questionable TC quality
This one will probably require joao for any sort of solution, if viable at all.
So I use a local work profile provided by Shelter for apps I need sandboxed for whatever reason. Unfortunately those apps don't show up in the list of apps for enter/leave profiles and things like AutoNotification just list resultant effects with a blank associated app (still works fine via title/text match though). Is there any way to at least be able to see app usage to trigger tasks while they run?
To be clear, work profile apps aren't invisible from the system. They show up in things like battery usage and some apps can see them, such as custom launchers or va
I play fullscreen games and watch videos rather often. Swiping to reveal unfortunately sends input to the app running in fullscreen. I'm looking to bind revealing the nav bar momentarily, the same way a swipe at the screen edge will, to my focus button (half press of camera button on my phone). AutoInput can handle the button fine, is there any way to show the nav though?
