My boyfriend (from now on called 'M') and I broke up last week, or at least heavily reduced the future commitment of our relationship. One of the main reasons M and I broke up is because less than a week into us dating I was drunk at a party and got intimate with someone else, and I didn't tell him until two months later. It's been very straining, and it turned what was a dream-come-true into something quite difficult because what I did broke a lot of trust. So, for the time being, we're still not seeing anyone else but we're taking a break from the serious commitment until our rental contract is up and then, after moving out, go from there.

Last night, after I came back from a D&D game

Got an SX-70 a while back and I'm trying to buy film, however between currency conversion and shipping it comes out to over $40 CAD for 8 shots, with 7-21 business days shipping. $5 per shot seems pretty insane, even by vintage Polaroid standards. Is there a cheaper place to get film in Canada?

I'm sure you've heard this plenty of times before, just as I did. And also just as I did, you've probably never followed through or even given it much thought. But please back up your important music files and projects.

I got home from work today to see my roommate piling all my important electronics on the table. Looking to the left I saw that the carpet was soaking wet, and looking up I saw water streaming from the ceiling and onto the floor where my computer used to be.

Turns out a pipe had burst directly above my desk and drenched all of my important electronics (microphone, computer tower, monitors, midi keyboard, etc) while they were all plugged in and on. Moreso than just the loss

My intended use is productivity (video/photo/document editing), digital music production (external DAC/amp planned for later), and some gaming (the games I will mostly play are Starcraft 2, Civilization V, Skyrim, as well as contemporary and future games at 1080p 60fps medium settings minimum for the next 1.5-2 years).

My budget is $1500-1750 CAD (purchasing from Canada).

Here's how the build currently looks:
