Hi! I live outside the US and I’ll be in Vegas for a concert for 4 days, will be staying at Paris. It’s not my first time in Vegas and I’m honestly looking forward to relaxing by the pool and eating but I also wanna do some shopping while I’m there. Some of the things I need are pretty standard but they don’t have an actual store in Vegas or are online exclusive (for example I want a couple of very specific things from baggu and a pair of sneakers) so I was thinking maybe I could just buy them online and have them sent over there. I know Paris has a “package room” but honestly $10dlls per package seems a bit excessive. I was thinking maybe I could try and buy the majority of those items on A
It’s my first time watching the series, I’m currently on S1 of Mexico. I live in one of the cities depicted in the show so I’m cautious about narcomedia. I’ve actually appreciated the nuances in the series so far and enjoyed the fact that almost all actors do such a good job that you feel for and hate narcos and narcs all the same at different times and sometimes in the same scene, that’s good TV. Enter… Michael Peña.
I have to think the real Kiki wasn’t this annoying and boring at the same time, it’s amazing how he manages to make a really interesting and horrifying story just so boring. He’s in some of the most stressful and suspenseful situations and put up against some of the best actor
I ended a relationship a couple of months ago. There was unethical behavior involved, dishonesty, lack of transparency and disrespect, to say the least.
He apologized, he was hurting, I could see it, but saying “everything you’re saying happened did in fact happen and I’m sorry, please forgive me” is not exactly what I would call a full real apology and it wasn’t enough for me. It didn’t address the particular issues or even named them and I didn’t feel like there was any real accountability. Even if it had been I couldn’t do it anymore so I didn’t, I left.
I ended it in good terms and decided to say goodbye from the place of love I still had in me. I didn’t yell, I didn’t hurt him back,
I ended a relationship a couple of months ago. For how healthy, safe and honest it had been, the ending was a shit show.
Early on, an unrelated issue had him brought up how he still had a “friendship” with his ex, they work in the same field and thus share professional and social spaces. This freaked me out but I took it as an opportunity to learn more about the person I was dating and see his character instead of just getting the fuck out. At the time I was glad I did cause it honestly resolved in a healthy and safe manner and we ended up closer. He, on his own volition, took it as a chance to ask me how I was feeling, if I had any doubts about their relationship, reassured me, validated
My friend and I (both F 30s) are going to a festival on Sunday, we couldn't get more days off work so we'll just be there Sat midday-Mon afternoon. Basically 36h split into 2 days, with the one day in between exclusively for pool time, brunch and then the festival which lasts all day.
Here's the thing, we've both been to vegas a bunch of times before but only for bachelorette parties, so pretty much just the strip, and we were both in our 20s, so pretty much getting drunk and being silly around boys. I haven't been there in like 8 years and idk how much it's changed, she goes like twice a year for work and doesn't really care what we do so I get to choose.
We were thinking of maybe doi
I’m 36. As I’m sure a lot of you have experienced getting properly diagnosed was a long and excruciating journey, it hurt.
Got diagnosed as a kid in the 90s but parents wouldn’t put me on Ritalin, I was an overachiever student and overall kid so no one noticed, shit started doing down senior year of HS, by my senior year of college it was a miracle I graduated with a pretty high GPA and then I just hit the wall.
I never really got a hold of being “an adult”, depression then anxiety then misdiagnosed as follows: major depressive episode > anxiety disorder > chronic depression > bipolar II
During that last one I was 32, doing my masters and my partner was at the end of a chronic illness so
I ended a relationship about a month ago. We wanted different things but the way that incompatibility was established was through a huge betrayal of my trust and my boundaries that i didn’t considered honest or ethical at all. The way it happened was hurtful, unkind and disrespectful and honestly just shitty behavior, so much so that I actually considered just ghosting him. I decided that wasn’t good by me and the way he’d been up until that point deserved better so we met up, I told him how much he’d hurt me, he apologized (poorly), asked to give it a shot, I said no and we broke up.
We didn’t say goodbye from a place of anger and honestly it was very caring, grateful and loving. The anger
Last year I connected with someone through social media, I knew the moment I saw his profile I liked him but he seemed young and we lived in different cities. I’m 36, and I wasn’t really ready for a serious committed relationship or wanted one till I was 32/33. Since then I’ve been learning (sometimes the hard way) to weed out men who aren’t available for that even if I really like them. I want a life partner, I also want kids and even tho I hate it I have to accept there’s a deadline for that. So when I realized he was 30 I decided I wasn’t gonna try anything.
Well, at the beginning of this year we started talking more and more as friends till the connection was undeniable and we both conf
I’ve been dealing with the aftermath from a breakup where I got polybombed by my now ex partner who in the process broke pretty much every agreement we had, betrayed my trust and steamrolled my agency.
It was a new relationship, all of this happened around 3-5 months in so we were just getting to know each other. At the beginning and when it was just us, it was the healthiest most honest caring responsible relationship I’d ever been in. We talked about what love meant to us and how we viewed relationships.
I don’t want this to happen to me again, so what are some early signs or red flags I could look for? Apparently “how do you feel about poly?” Isn’t enough.
We were watching a movie when a scene reminded him of a personal and intimate story from his past, it was one of those core memories that when someone shares them with you you realize they’re precious and vulnerable. I, unfortunately, didn’t respond how he expected.
He paused the movie and started telling me this story, I listened and smiled cause it was a lovely story and when he was done I asked to continue with the movie. This was his favorite movie that I had never seen and before starting he told me it was important to him that I payed attention and focused on the movie, so I did. When we were finished he told me that my reaction to the story made him feel like the guy in the viral Tik
I broke up 3 weeks ago, it was a long time coming. I got polybombed over text, he told me a) he was “open”, b) he had another partner and c) she was there with him literally as I was leaving to go meet him at a bar. For context he had asked to open up the relationship like 2 months prior and I said no, we were “on a break thinking things through”.
I didn’t meet him. I texted him explaining why. Then I asked for him not to reach out til I was ready to talk. It took me 6 weeks to get my head straight and realize what this meant: that it was over and even if I wanted to/could do poly I couldn’t do it with someone who behaved disingenuously, lied to me and disrespected me and my trust.
3 weeks
I've been posting about this a lot, but my therapist is on vacation and I don't really have any poly or ENM friends irl to talk about this and I just have so many questions and thoughts going on in my head.
I got polybombed by my now ex partner. We were on a break when that happened 'cause he said he needed our relationship to be open and I didn't want to, so we took a break to think about it. To me, that meant sitting with my feelings, wants and needs to then tell him about those and see if we could reach an agreement, to him it apparently meant going and just doing what he wanted anyway. In the 2-3 months we were apart he got another partner. I found out about it when he told me he was
I’m out of that messy situation my ex tried to get me in but honestly it’s really hard. Are there any books or content creators or anything that deals with post poly trauma?
I got polybombed by my now ex partner a couple of months ago by disclosing his “open” style AND his partner over text while I was omw to meet him at a bar where she was also with him. Even tho I felt hurt, betrayed and bulldozed and was sure I was done, I took it as an opportunity to really think about it. I did the work, the research, the lurking on Reddit, the required reading and therapy, etc. I can’t and I don’t want to be poly. I’m mono and I like it like that. I knew what I wanted and I was sure I wasn’t gonna betray myself for someone I love even if it hurt.
While it was just us this man had been the safest most understanding, kind, consistent, sincere, honest, emotionally responsi
