Just in the past week or so I've been beset by frequent connectivity issues and lag. Occasional ping spikes, frame drops are common. But more worringly in the past couple days especially is that it's consistently been taking me anywhere from 1-5 minutes to load into a match. AND, when the match ends, the battle results and scorecard simply never show up, and I get booted back to the login screen.

I can't tell if this is my internet or wifi connection, my PC having issues itself, or if the issue is localized to WoWS, but it's been incredibly frustrating to deal with. Wondering if anyone has had any similar problems. I have a good PC with good hardware as well as a usually excellent interne

Title for the most part. I'll be brief as I don't have a lot to say besides that.

I've been having good fun in Swedish DDs but most of it comes from using my guns. However my average damage in all of them is really low, because I've been frustrated with the torpedoes at basically every tier. I miss what feels like 80% of my shots completely and I can't fathom how I am so bad with them. (tips for this are appreciated too, but I've heard and accepted a lot of basic ones like don't use narrow spread etc)

This caused me to wonder lately, having recently acquired Östergötland, if I should just give up on trying to do torpedoboating since I'm woeful at it and if gunboat build is actually viable.

TL;DR: I've been hit with another 3 day chat ban for the second time in a week after it never happening before in 3 years of play. Something has changed in WG's automatic chat banning system, and whilst I appreciate the greater focus on combating toxicity, I do not think this is fair, at least in my regard.

~~

I was chatbanned for the first time in 3 1/2 years of playing WoWS just the other day. The reason given was "insults, personal attacks, abuse/harassment, trying to 'bypass the chat filter'.

I could not remember for the life of me why this might have happened, because I had logged off for the night after a session of play and gone to bed, and came back the next day to the b

Title. No dilly dally, imma get right to the point.

1. Soviet battleships have near-immunity to DoT effects. Supposedly, the counter to ships with high HE dmg resistance is fires; typically BBs don't get to be good at BOTH. Let's start by changing this: Significantly nerf the Soviet DCP. As an example: "From tiers 3-7, the DCP reload would be nerfed by 40%, and on tiers 8-10, it would be nerfed by 25%." These are speculatory numbers; It doesn't have to be a specific %, just enough remove the functional immunity to DoT effects, but still be more resistant to them than the average BB.

I would not advise REMOVAL of the Soviet DCP however. I fear this could cause issues with them ac

So I'm working on something small to add some extra detail to the walls of Whiterun, and I want to add some objects to both the Tamriel worldspace and the Whiterun city worldspace itself.

I know that there exists a way to port objects from one worldspace into another and keep them in the same exact location but I'm unsure as to how to actually do it? I've done a bunch of google searching as well as searches on this sub to try and find out, but no dice.

If anyone could answer or point me in the direction of one, that would be amazing and very appreciated.

I'm having some issues after creating a new state and can't seem to pinpoint the problem. This is the log I get after booting up the game, which then crashes:

https://imgur.com/qLrtkMV

I have repeatedly tried to pinpoint the issue with the file in question; I have triple-checked the placing of all the brackets, made a new file and copied code from several other new state files (which work fine) but the game really hates this one specific state.

Here is the code for the state:

Now I may very well have missed something, but I am at a loss as to what's going wrong here. The error log seems to take issue with the beginning of the code and the very tail end of it,

So I'm quickly putting together a mod that fixes the problem with the People's Republic of China not having any unique ship classes or ship namelists.

I spent an embarrassing amount of time compiling names and putting them into the PRC section of 00_names.txt, where the flavor names for PRC stuff exist. However, in game, I built a destroyer to test it, but it didn't have a name and was just "Destroyer 1".

I've double-checked the file structure and also the text file itself. I can't seem to spot a mistake, so I think I've done something completely wrong and have no idea what it is. The flavor text for the ship classes works fine, but the actual ship names don't.

I'm fairly new at this so

I've been looking to build a new PC for several years now and have only just come into the money to be able to do so. I'm not looking for something top-of-the-line, just something moderate to play some older games at a reasonable level as I start college.

I already have the power supply. It's been feeding my (shitty) PC for a couple years now. I also already have one of the SSDs that's listed - with Windows 7 installed on it - but I'm looking to get another as I'm pressed for space.

VMF Arkhangelsk (USSR)

Originally Arkangelsk was a Revenge-class battleship, built as HMS Royal Sovereign. Laid down in 1914, she was completed in May of 1916, but was not fit for service in time to have participated in the Battle of Jutland later that month. Between the First and Second World Wars, she did not recieve an extensive modernization, unlike her comrades near-sisters Warspite and the other Queen Elizabeths. She only gained some minor AA firepower throughout the 1930s.

In 1944, she was transferred to the Soviet Navy, to substitute for the eventual war reperations to be provided by Italy. (see: VMF Novorossiysk, ex-Giulio Cesare) She was Admiral Gordey Levchenko’s flagship

So, people who propose new ships, I've been wanting to do the same for a while (got a few ideas knocking around in my head) but there are some things that I have yet to figure out how to determine from either paper ship designs or real ship specifications. There is a somewhat accurate HP formula I found on the forums, but I've yet to find "formulas" for

  • Concealment
  • Shell alpha damage
  • Rudder shift time / turning circle

And since there are wizards on here who somehow come up with these statistics, like u/TenguBlade or u/godzilla5549, I was wondering if some kind individual would be willing to give me some pointers on this?

Thanks in advance maybe :P

Title basically says it.

I'm trying to find something that would work well for a Nordic pantheon totem that's not the Hoddminir runestones. This is for an in-the-works reprise of my old now-dead mod Places in the North. ^Long story short.

I managed to locate a good one in MannyGT's Power Stones of Skyrim, but he's left the community and I can't really post on any of his modpages to just directly ask. The permissions sections on the pages are also completely empty. Though he does provide instructions for using the runestones in new lands, that's not really what I'm trying to do.

I'm hesitant to just straight up use the stone without at least trying to get some clarification on whether it

Something I noticed upon watching the VOD of Flamu's stream today...

305 / 2 = 152.5

You're telling me a gun that's twice the size of a smaller gun shares the same gun sound? Are you kidding? It has a weaker gun sound than Scharnhorst, on which the guns are 22m *smaller.

It's almost as if there are arbitrary restrictions on which sounds are used on which classes. For example, Atlanta and Gearing having the same guns, but Atlanta's sound different for no discernible reason. Or Graf Spee's guns being identical to Scharnhorst's, yet using different sounds.

This is probably a pointless complaint compared to some other things, ^^(asashio is final??) but Kronshtadt's guns just sound *

Playing games in Ranger against anything that's not a Ranger is hell. CVs just got interesting at T6 and I enjoyed the Independence a lot, but playing Ranger against a Kaga or Saipan (with obligatory Atlanta in division!) or AS Hiryu is just not fun.

One of the main issues I feel with CVs is an imbalance of fighter plane waves at most tiers. Why does the Ranger only get one when AS Hiryu gets three? In fact, why do any of the IJN CVs get to keep air supremacy loadouts when the USN had theirs removed? It's just as cancerous as the AS Bogue was.

I really hope that things get better with the Lexington, but that too only has one fighter wave. Since the learning curve is steeper than the Ber

Slightly clickbait-y title, my apologies.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus from Skyrim after some... unfortunate events between me and the Beyond Skyrim team which resulted in my parting ways with them. I've got nothing on them though, they're a neat bunch and they've got some cool shit cooking. But I digress.

Places in the North was my first project ever. I really like designing locations and exterior level design. So I'm reopening the case, as it were, and this time I'm armed with easily three times the skill level I had when I started originally. Places being my first mod and all, it's a bit shoddy, especially in the presentation department.

So I'm going to rebuild the mod from scratc
