Let's say I'm playing on defense, and the other team buys an Op, and their push goes to shit for one reason or another, but nobody on my team is an OPer but it's there for us to pick up basically for free.

Is it better to have 5 rifle players using rifles comfortably, or having someone be 'forced' into uncomfortable using the Op because of it's power and 4 rifles supporting it?

I realize this is somewhat of a niche circumstance but ... it does happen ... even if not very often in my experience.

Every now and then, I run across a team that just KNOWS what my team is doing when we're attacking. If we have 5 people pushing a site, they 5-stack it. If we try to default or split push, they perfectly split their defense to where we're splitting. If we try to set up a fake push, they don't rotate. They just stack the site we make no noise at, and don't rotate when our "make noise" guy makes noise, even if our "make noise" guy kills the only person on that side of the map and has full site control, not one of the other players rotates. They do this for the entire 12 round half, without fail. How do you play against this?

Riot has actually done something very clever: They created reyna and raze. Toxic players overwhelmingly pick one of those 2, and you can almost eliminate toxicity by insta muting every reyna/raze player, whether they're on your team or the other team. Yes there's a select few toxic players who play something other than reyna and raze, but about 2 months ago I started muting every reyna/raze I saw in matchmaking. I've seen an inceredible reduction in toxicity sine then.

inb4 "I'm a raze/reyna main and I'm not toxic" ... yes you are. Stop lying to yourself.

Currently stuck in silver (Yes I'm bad I know). But, I just can't play consistently. I have good/great moments, but I can't string them together. It's like, I'll dominate a few rounds, which is nice, but I struggle hard the other 15-ish rounds. I'll get 0 kills for 3 rounds in a row, get a 3k and stop a push like a brick wall, or hold off a retake 1v3 long enough for the bomb to explode, and then go back to being insta-deleted the next 3 rounds.

If it helps, I mainly play brim/omen/sova, occasionally phoenix/breach when my team could use the duelist/flashes.

Is it just me, or has ranked valorant devolved into which team team the matchmaker picks to win? Lately, it seems like I'm more likely to play in a loss where I could play my best game ever and still lose ... or wins where I could throw every round and still win, than actually close games. Has anyone else experienced this?

Quick notee: I've noticed this in games before I ever played valorant, this isn't something I can blame the game itself for, but valorant is the team-based fps game I've been playing lately, so I figured I'd ask here.

But ... anyway ... I guess I'd call myself a 'streaky' player. If I get off to a cold start, I end up playing pretty shit for most of the game. But, if I get off to a hot start, I tend to not dip into "I'm getting blown away" territory for the length of the game. It's almost like, the first 3ish rounds determine how good/bad I do in the whole game. So ... anyone else have any tips on how to overcome a terrible start to a game?

2011 4 cyl honda accord, and if it sits for like 10+ hours (like, overnight), I turn the key, it does nothing, does nothing, then starts right up. If it sits for 6ish hours when I'm at work, it starts up just fine, it's really only after sitting overnight that this happens. After the first start, it starts fine the rest of the day. No idea what could be causing this.

Like .... this isn't exactly a reliable thing, but sometimes me and my team just win all the eco rounds, and the buy rounds are balanced. It's like, our phanom/vandal/Op vs phantom/vandal/Op rounds are a lot closer than out stinger/marshall/sheriff vs phantom/vandal rounds ,,, and idk why.

I feel like it's because of the mentality of "We can afford a pistol/smg buy and they can afford an all-rifle buy, might as well play balls to the wall agggressive and they won't expect it" ... and they don't expect it ... but idk why we can win all our stinger/sheriff rounds against rifles and win some but not all of our rifle vs rifle rounds? Does the mentality of "We are at a disadvantag

Idk why but ... some days I'm just significantly better/worse than the last day. It's like some days my shots connect, and some days they don't. In other games I improve over time, but in Valorant I go from doing well one day to being steaming dogshit the next day, and then being decent the next day. I mainly play omen, but I'm incredibly inconsistent regardless if I play only omen for a week or if I switch it up and play different agents, I'm just really inconsistent. I feel like I'd be better off being consistently somewhere between my ceiling and floor than being all over the place, but I have no clue why I'm inconsistent, or how to achieve consistency.

... but because it's an indirect Op nerf.

Before, teams would have someone buy an Op, and when the Op got smoked off, sage would wall and then use slows, so while the attackers were stalled the timer for the smoke was ticking. Now, without almost every team having a sage and her insane stalling ability, smoking the Op actually works and Op abusers need to do something other than sit in a corner all round to be effective.
