Hey all,

I'm driving up to Yosemite for the first time tomorrow from SF. I wanted to ask, is it worth adding 45 minutes to my drive to take 140 -> 49 -> Wawona road to be able to go through the legendary tunnel and witness the tunnel view for the first time?

Or do most people coming up from SF take the quickest route (120 to the park, then U-turn to go back to the tunnel view).

I'm really leaning towards just adding the 45 minutes to my drive to get that awe inspiring experience but would love any input. Thanks!

I just attempted to login yesterday to my 1900 total 350m bank ironman.

Incorrect password despite multiple attempts. Recovered it and logged in next day.

Completely cleaned. The ACB I got on 10 kc? Gone. 2500 hours of prep, down the drain.

Had 2FA and bank pin. No IRL friends who play the game and it had a unique password. Literally zero clue how this could've happened.

But honestly, here's the part I need to vent about:
I played this account a lot from 2019-2020 when I was at a stage in my life where I had a lot more free time. I'm now in medical residency where I work 80 hours a week. Logging in for 15 minutes every 3-7 days to do a farm run or some herb

Bag rules for Imola?

Autodromo Enzo E Dino Ferrari (Imola, Italy)

Hey everyone,

My wife and I are headed to Imola for the F1 Grand Prix and I can’t seem to find bag rules anywhere. We were wanting to take just a small daypack with stuff like sunscreen in it.

Does anyone know where I can find the track rules?

On 4/8/22 I sent my second attempt on MSH. The first time I attempted it, I was terribly prepared with all sorts of mismatched gear and turned around at 5500’ due to exhaustion and whiteout conditions.

Before the trip, a bit of context. I checked the weather report and saw a mid-mountain forecast of “Partly cloudy” with temps down to 15°F with a wind chill near 5°. Winds were forecasted up to 25mph. Summit forecast was 5° with a wind chill down to -8°F and winds up to 35mph. Not ideal weather, but I have the gear to stay warm in those temps and typically 30-35mph winds are right at my limit of climbing. Anything over and I’ll reschedule. However, this was my last day in the PNW before movi

Hey guys,

I'm hoping to climb Saint Helens the 8th or 9th of this week and had a few questions.

I was initially planning on just doing hiking boots/crampons before yesterdays storm, but now it seems as if the mountain got 2-3 feet of fresh powder. I leave the PNW on April 11th and probably won't have the chance to re-visit for 6+ years. Given how iconic MSH is to me I'm really hoping to finally gain the summit before I lose the opportunity.

Before I ask my questions:

- I've never skinned before but am comfortable on resort double blacks.

- I'm asking all of this assuming Avy risk is able to mellow out with the few calm days forecasted before I

Hey guys, wanted some gear advice for my next pack.

I'm looking to buy the Mutant as my current Atmos 65 is way too overkill for most of my uphill strolls. Problem is, I can't decide on size.

If I buy the 38, I can get it from REI using my rewards and a 20% off coupon. If I buy the 52, I have to pay cash directly from Osprey, but if it's worth it it's worth it.

80% of my trips with this pack would be things like Colorado 13ers/14ers that are ~7-15 mile (long) daytrips and stuff like St. Helens. But the other 20% would be much bigger, likely multi-day trips like Rainier and Adams.

I feel like I'd need a bigger pack for the 2-4 day t

Hey guys, long time lurker here.

I've been slowly growing in my obsession of mountaineering, like many people I've met here. I recently relocated to Seattle in November for a short-term work assignment that ends next week.

As my last hoorah in the PNW, I attempted Mt. Saint Helens on 2/24. I consider myself a fit guy: I run 3 miles/day on average at a 7:30 pace, and usually 2-3 times/week I walk a 30 min mile at a 10% grade on the treadmill with a 40lb backpack. I've also been skiing around 30 runs/week for the past month, with lots of moguls to build quad strength. I hike ~5-10 miles/week leisurely with my wife. I've hiked/snowshoed Colorado 14ers in shoulder

Is it possible to export single lens photos in .dng format from Insta studio? For some reason my photos taken with a single lens will only export in .jpg when I try from the desktop app.

Hey all,

I need some help in creating a Step 2 study schedule. I take it on June 21st, and until then my schedule routinely looks busy from 8am-1pm (On a rotation currently).

Just wondering how I should allocate resources (Uworld, WiWa Step 2 Anki, Divine podcasts, etc) day to day. Target score is 245, but the difficulty is that I just finished a year of MBA courses so I haven't done anything clinical in a year. Will likely need a solid crash course in medicine.

Tent Advice

Awaiting Flair

Hey all, my wife & I are deciding which tent to grab for car camping (Really glamping).

We're debating the REI Kingdom vs. Base Camp, but we aren't sure which capacity to buy.

It's just the two of us and our 30lb dog the majority of the time, maybe 5% of the time friends will tag along. 50% of our camping would be in pretty great weather, 50s-80s without much rain/wind. 25% would be West Texas, where 50+mph gusts aren't uncommon, and the other 25% is traveling to national parks like the Rockies, Yosemite, Death Valley, etc.

I was leaning towards the Base Camp 4 until I noticed the peak height of the latest model is only 60 inches. I'm 6ft and would love to be able to sta

Hey all,

My wife & I are backpacking in BB from 3/10-3/12. My wife & I are in good shape but neither of us have much backpacking experience (Although I grew up camping 20+ times/yr). We're currently shaping our itinerary and would love any opinions. We've been dying to try to make a float work, but as you'll see in the itinerary below, I just feel like it may involve cramming way too much into one day. I'm thinking the Thursday alt schedule is much more realistic. Our campsite is Colima 2.

A huge part of the itinerary I'd love input time on is hiking time. The first time we hike to camp (Chisos Visitor center -> Laguna meadows -> Camp) I allowed almost 60 min/m

So I'm doing a MBA during my third year (Did clinicals second year), many of my colleagues are coming from ~5 year working careers, and many of my friends from undergrad have been in the workforce for 2-3 years. It's absolutely unreal the things we go through compared to normal careers. I could go on and on about how my friends are making six figures in their mid twenties working M-F 8-5.

But the craziest part? I didn't realize how brainwashed I had become until I stepped away from medicine and into my MBA. I had gotten so used to 24hr call shifts, 80 hour work weeks, and non-stop studying for high stakes exams that I thought it was normal and "okay." Starting the MBA really

Hey squad, long story short - Posting this here because nobody responds in the Step 2 forums and people here have a decent idea of score influences lol:

- Scheduled to take Step 2 CK tomorrow

- Just finished clerkships and am now starting an MBA for the next year (Aka no clinical experience over the next year)

- Took Step 1 in June and made 247. Applying Gen Surg so very happy with my score.

- UWSA1 for CK was 246 two weeks ago (Right when I finished clerkships, I've been doing MBA orientation since ie. 0 clinical stuff) - Spreadsheet puts at 246 predicted.

- UWSA2 today was a 232 - Spreadsheet puts that at ~236-237 predicted.

Question:

Should I reschedule step 2? I don't get a

Should I reschedule step 2? I don't get a winter or summer break so I'm concerned that if I do, I'll be at an even worse disadvantage as I'll have lost all of the remaining bits of Step 1 and clinical knowledge that somehow stuck with me without ga
