I currently have an infect deck that has Yawgmoth, Thran Physician in it. It's currently golgari, but I plan on gradually branching into more colors until eventually having Atraxa as the commander. As i'm working on potential lists for moving into abzan colors, i'm finding that the deck's focus is moving in a direction that makes Yawgmoth feel less useful in the build compared to some other options.

So, I had an idea; a commander deck with Yawgmoth at the head that primarily focuses on utilizing cards centered around "Old Phyrexia". That being said, i'm not sure what direction to build in. I know that he's at his best as an aristocrat deck, but i'm having trouble finding older/thematically

A while ago I started upgrading my Squirreled Away precon, primarily using Chatterfang as the commander. At this point, I realize i've flown way past upgrade territory and that it may as well be a new deck, but i'm curous where exactly i've landed in the bracket territory and would like second opinions. I'm thinking a high 3 at minimum. The aristocrat combos i've included should theoretically land it at a 4, but it doesn't consistently pull them off in the early game when I test my hands, and I understand that's a factor.

Opinions welcome, see the list below. I tagged it as a showcase since i'm not really looking for edits, but if you have suggestions or want to share your own lists, feel f

A while ago I started upgrading my Squirreled Away precon from the Bloomburrow set. I realize at this point that I've flown way beyond upgrade territory and it may as well be a new deck, but i'm curious about where i've landed in the bracket system. I'm assuming it's a 3 at minimum, but i'm wondering if it's consistent enough to be considered a 4, as I don't always draw the right pieces to execute the usual aristocrat combos in the early game. Opinions welcome, see below.

So, i've got a friend that's looking for advice on upgrading the Graveyard Overdrive precon. I've gotten this together so far and feel alright about it, but i'm not super confident since Lhurgoyfs are such a limited creature type to build around, and I also don't have much experience working with mill decks. He isn't super picky about the deck's focus, but he does want to use Disa as the primary commander. He was fine with potentially using Ziatora as the commander as well, but I scrapped that idea when I realized building around her may as well have been making a new deck entirely.

Anyway, if you have any advice on what to drop or add,

Networks of perception open the doors between;

Forgotten ripples reveal the paths well-trodden.

Inward gazing reveals the wavering tapestry,

Notches in the shape of the mirrored soul.

Inversion of one branches into the illusion of many.

The illusion remains in the absence of the one,

Eternity collapses for the eye never closed.

Spooky Commander Deck

Commander / EDH

Hello, all! I've been looking into building a new deck recently to have something custom to play aside from my primary deck, partially because I want to try out something new, but also to give my pod a break from dealing with Golgari Infect on a weekly basis. With October around the corner, I figured it was a good opportunity to build something seasonally appropriate. I've currently narrowed it down to these three options.

My pod is fairly casual, so i'm not worried about being super competitive. The only specific worth noting is that these will essentially be tribal decks, Rakdos included. If you have recommendations for what to include in the 99 for any of them, feel free to mention those

So, after purchasing some precons and getting into paper Magic with a few friends, i've decided on building my own commander deck. Rather than upgrading the precons I already have, I wanted to start from scratch and build around [[Kinzu of the Bleak Coven]] since I pulled her from a booster pack, and I really like the lore of Phyrexians.

Here is what i've put together so far. I'm open to any suggestions on improvements, but my main idea was to take advantage of stacking Toxic on top of Infect when making creature copies with Kinzu's effect, and using proliferate to ramp poison counters.

So I have a small play group, currently just my wife and a friend of ours. I've been playing Arena for years and invested in the Duskmourn and Bloomburrow commander precons so the three of us could play together. Neither of them had any exposure to Magic, but i've been teaching them and we've been playing roughly once per week. They've been pretty into it, learning the rules and interpreting the cards. So, i've been thinking that doing a custom draft game one night might be a fun idea to switch things up and give everyone an opportunity to start collecting their own stuff, as we have an LGS up the road to play at and they have a good variety of sets to pull from.

I've been looking into the

I wanted to make a deck for some good ol' fashioned nostalgia. I know none of these are particularly competitive, but I wanted to get some opinions on what would be the best of them. Thanks!

I've hit DLv. 17 in the event and can stop playing. I know this isn't special or unique, but after the string of Runick Spright matches, i'm just so glad to be finished. They can keep the last 200 gems and tickets, it's not worth it.

That's all, folks, i'm just really happy at the moment.
