I'm trying to plan a birthday party for my wife's 30th, and I'm trying to find a bar that (a) will screen a movie for us and (b) offers karaoke. The bar we used to go to with both closed during the past year.

What are your best recommendations for a bar that offers both?

I'm trying to wrap my head around the often contradictory advice I've seen around the internet regarding degassing mead.

Some sources seem to think it's important to do it frequently during primary fermentation, others seem to indicate it's more related to racking/bottling than fermentation.

Will degassing during primary fermentation improve the yeast's activity, or does the agitation slow them down?

Should I be degassing aggressively until it foams (I've seen some advice suggesting 30+ minutes using a drill at full speed), or should I avoid that kind of intensity?

Do you degas your mead? When and How?
