TLDR: plumber wanted £972 to replace copper piping, install external hose tap, said waste pipe was pouring into void.
Well thanks for all your advice. I managed to get another plumber out and asked for the external tap, along with checking copper piping and waste pipe.
He installed the tap and found it was the washing machine connection very slowly leaking. He tightened it and cleaned up the pipes.
He ran the water for a while and checked the waste pipe. He couldn't see any problems.
All in: £90!!
Thanks to everyone who advised us to get a 2nd opinion! You saved us £850!
I am trying to edit a texture on an existing model. When I go I go into UV Editing and select all the faces on the object, the meshes aren't overlaid on the texture so I can see what is going on (see pic). The mesh is miles away from the texture.
How can I change this so that I can get the mesh nicely over the texture?
I turned on my PC today and noticed my G513 lights would not turn on, and the keyboard would not work. I dug out a spare keyboard and tried various things but I can't get it to work.
Things I have tried:
- reinstalling g-Hub. ( I have a g502 and that is functioning fine and is recognised by hub.)
- different USB ports.
- plugged it into my wife's laptop.
As far as I can see there has been no system updates on Windows 10 since I last used it.
The Logitech Support page seems to be bugged as I get stuck in a loop trying to register my product.
Apologies of this is off-topic. I ordered a 6-port RGB Scart switch from this website around 6 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything since. I have had bad experiences with the generic scart switches you can buy on Amazon, to the point where I now just switch them behind the TV manually. I thought I would splash out on a good quality one but I'm afraid I've just thrown my money away.
I've been playing through Shining Force and saving in the game, in addition to turning Auto Saves on in core menu, and also manually clicking "Save Backup RAM" after every save. This was working fine but today I switched it on to find I had lost 2 hours of progress. Last save is from 2 days ago. I saved multiple times last night and Auto Save was definitely on, so it's demoralising to say the least.
Has anyone else had problems with this?
Hi All
I only recently got the MiSTer and I love the way it looks on my HDMI TV.
I also dug out an old CRT SCART TV I had. I have it connected to the I/O board via a VGA>SCART cable. The only thing I changed in the MiSTer.ini file was composite_sync = 1 and it seems to work fine.
I noticed though that some cores have a slight overscan, in that the edges of the screen are missing. For example in the NEOGEO core some character names are cut off at the edges in fighting games. This is especially obvious when comparing it to the HDMI picture running at the same time, as it shows an additional 1/2 inch or so of screen on both sides.
SNES doesn't seem affected by this, and Mega Drive i
