Hey all,
I'm 4 years out of undergrad and I was hoping to apply this cycle but the most recent professors (from the 20-21 covid semesters) who I got A's with have all declined to write letters. My PI (who I did take a class with) and 2 MD's who I've worked with for 4 years have already agreed to write letters. I could ask another MD, and an MD who supervised me during clinical volunteering. Does anyone have any success as a non-trad 4+ gap years without science LORs?
can someone living in Stuvi 1 look at their desk chair and let me know if it says what brand they are so I can potentially get one for my home desk
I'm still not even done with my last final exam and blackboard is already telling me I need to request administrator access whenever I go onto a new Blackboard page
I was doing my daily listening of folklore before classes and from minute 1:58-2:00 of mirrorball after she says "hush, when no one is around my dear" there's some vocals waayyy in the background, I was wondering if anyone has ever picked up on these and has figured out what she's saying? It's the only time in the song these backing vocals follow this line? This might be excessive but I want to know what the line might be
I have this question that I need answered because it’s been bothering me for a bit and I think I’m misremembering stuff. If Jasper was a confederate soldier (1860s) and Edward died of Spanish flu (1918) why/how is Jasper considered the “newer vampire” when Edward was converted after? Is this just a movie misconception I’m remembering?
Does anyone know if there is anyone currently working on campus in either the Financial Aid Office or Student Accounting Services that would be able to process checks into student accounts? Thanks!
I saw someone on here say they would open February 3rd but their phones lines are still down, and I don’t want to travel to Cambridge to find it closed. Has anyone heard of an updated opening day?
Thanks in advance, Desperate college student
Hello all! I am a rising sophomore on summer break and I'm looking to gain some experience either volunteering at my local hospital or shadowing a doctor.
Last spring I shadowed with some doctors with the help of a friend of mine's mother (a doctor) who set me up with a lot of her colleagues. I've been lurking in this subreddit and shadowing is often talked about, and I'm thinking of asking her if I could shadow again during the summer.
Is the "shadowing" med schools are interested in basically what I'm planning on doing -- following her around during her day and observing?
My friend and I are hockey fans and want to go to the Garden for the game on Friday and probably Saturday. Where do BU students typically sit at TD Garden, and where does the band sit? Thanks!
The first and last thing we ever see him do is save Harry Potter's life.
.....I'll just leave this right in the feels
I love my Stila Stay All Day liner, but the tip isn't putting out as much opaque liner anymore and I was wondering if anyone had any tricks for renewing their liquid liners to make sure the eyeliner is completely used and not just dried up. Thanks!!
On a website, it's listed as a film mistake that El doesn't know the word "friend" in S1 when Mike is explaining to her that they are her friends now because she was introduced to the word before in Hawkins lab.
However, her first association with the word was with the Bad Men, when Papa told her all of the people in the lab are her friends. When Mike later tells her that they are her friends, she's worried, not confused, because the people in the lab were her only context for what 'friend' means, and they ended up not being friends at all.
Mike changes Eleven's understanding of the word 'friend'.
During HBO's airing of the Half Blood Prince movie, I noticed during Quidditch try-outs Harry wears #7, which I think was a fun easter egg considering the significance of the number seven (spoilers: seven Potters, seven Horcruxes, seven books, etc.)
