Hello everyone. Please excuse my ignorance. I am new to mame. Just retired and wanted to revisit my youth spent in arcades playing the greatest games of my time. I am a programmer by trade. But the reason I am here is I have a question about what files are needed to make the games work. Plus The files to delete safely. I have decided to use unmerged, since the structure makes more sense to me, and I wrote a dirty little program to sort things out. I tried some of the other tools, but I wanted something simple just to select and weed out games I may not like, i.e. casino stuff, etc. In the future I will expand it into a fully fledged app, but right now I just want to enjoy a few memories

I’ve had my ai1300 for about 1.5yrs. Never an issue, and maybe not the problem. Every year in January I do a fan refresh and a good clean. Finished up, returned to desk. Powered on. Saw Asus logo. Then started booting. Just before windows the system shuts down. No big deal. Press power, fans spin up, within seconds it shuts off again. This time, no logo. Do all the usual stuff, and same issue. So now I rip into it, backing out my changes, and still same thing. I recently added a 5090 last October, removed that, same thing. Yank memory, same thing. The system does not care what I remove, including the boot drive. The MB on boot shows 40 for about 8 seconds, then 00, then turns off.
I have a 2006 Z4 M. My wife thought it would be a good plan to test drive the last of the Z4s. A 2025 40i Z4. The sales folks were great, and the green version looked great. Our daily driver is a 2025 Lexus NX350H, and we only use the Z4 during the summer, since we live in Canada. We tested the standard version of the 25, and I have to say... Its very well behaved. felt very spirited off the start, and the addition of apple car play was very cool!!. The seats are comfortable, the stick easier to manoeuvre. But... No thanks. This car has no soul. it drives like my lexus, with way more torque. Felt like a daily driver vs a Sunday fun car. No roar, no life, no fun. No thanks.
Does the vender still come to the office and setup new laptops, or do they send them via courier, and expect us to set them up?
I have an older piece that I purchased a couple years ago from an estate sale. Elders had passed, family cleans out the home type of affair. I liked it because of the tiles, and bought it for a decent price.. I know nothing of it, and thought maybe some would educate me on why tile was used. etc. Thanks!!
I purchased this tile painting about 2 years ago from an online auction called Maxsold. The owner was deceased, and the family was selling the contents of the home. The couple was german, and they had quite a number of older paintings. Since I am no art historian, I had no clue what was real, but this one caught my eye, and the price was lower than some of the others. It hangs on the wall, but I often wonder where it came from, and maybe shed some light on its history.
I have a G3 77" did the update a few days ago. All went well, but sometimes, the TV will dim to 20 percent or so, and it will not come back. This is while using my PC. If I use color control. (the windows 3rd party app) and force it to 100 percent, it will come back. Otherwise, I have to restart the TV. It has happend twice now where I am looking at an almost black screen, until I use the app or turn it off.
I am shopping around for a better radio for my E85. I have found a few, and I also need to do a wire conversion in order for the process to go smooth, and still allow me to use the controls on the wheel. My issue is this. I have 10 speakers, but no DSP. Just the regular business unit. ChatGPT says the install is fairly standard with this part FK-239-SWC - The wire kit, etc. But keeps talking about the wakeup wire between the amp, and the head unit. GPT cannot give me a solid answer if the FK-239-SWC is a one stop solution. Do I still need to break that blue wire out, and manually connect it to the head unit. My big question though, is will the connects2 dongle or FK-239-SWC harne
My 2006 Z4M, has what looks to be a cig burn on the back of the seat. Its not big, around the size of your middle finger nail. Not a big deal when the top is up, but stands out a bit when its down. The previous owner did not smoke, and it may not even be a burn, but certainly looks like it. Its not felt, but something like that. Pretty low nap. I ordered a sample from an online company, but they sent me a sample that is too dark, and not as nappy.
Purchased from an older couple who purchased her back in 2006. Has 40k, mint condition. Stored in his climate controlled garage with his other toys. They are hitting 80 soon, and decided to keep a couple classics for Sunday drives. He put a new battery in her last month. Claimed the battery that he swapped for was the original. Motor sounds great, top works, Original everything. But... It did have the plastic crack behind the drivers seat, which he h
hairline crack in the plastic. I can find the box, but the left and right side cant locate. From looking around the webs, others have run into this area being a stress point. I thought of patching, but would rather just replace.
My wife and I are looking for an older model BMW Z4 M, for the summer. We found one that is local, privately sold. The asking price is 25k USD, and the mileage is 40k (miles) Stored inside, one owner, Mint condition. No winter miles. Do these numbers seem about right?
Or.. Maybe a cricket... This is Nix. My best friend..
It's like they take 2 steps forward, and 3 back everytime I open one their products. I only dump photos every couple of months.. Pulled in some dark high noise RAW images, only to find the legacy denoise has changed to a one all denoise/super res option. Neither of which work (well) Jumped over to photoshop, same crap, so obviously camera raw has been updated. Facial ID is 2005, they want me pay for extra AI credits. Can't search PDF's because they want more of my cash for the AI features. I can brighten and contrast in MS Photos for gods sake, and its free. Other than the decent catalogue in lightroom, Its getting really hard to justify these products. We have the "everything su
