My luck isn’t so great lately with the apps. But all of a sudden I’m getting a surge of DMs via Instagram, Facebook, Reddit...
Is there something going on? I’ve had at least four this week.
One on FB is almost two hours away in my home state. He says we should give it a shot. My skepticism is strong.
Edit: I’m adding that most of these are men from other countries! Only one is “near” me in CT but even that’s too far for me. No interest in these guys whatsoever.
Any tips for going to Six flags and staying on plan?? I’m going to see if I can find the food options online but if I remember well, there’s a lot of junk fried food.
Not sure why? It's Monday, I don't want to be at work. I am single and wish I had a significant other but that seems to be a challenge to find. I have friends but it is not the same. These waves do come and go where I have a high about life and then a low of "meh". I've often considered going back to therapy. I had some while married - couples counseling. Then I've had some while single post divorce to help deal with the new dating world. I think now I should go back. I have some days where I don't think it is necessary and others where I just want someone to talk to and listen.
Curious how people handle this question when asked on OLD? I’ve gotten it twice this month. I don’t like it. How do I respond?
“Oh it’s great, meeting all these people and it leading to absolutely nothing...” “Yea, I can get laid probably easily but have someone actually interested in committing to more? That’s the challenge” “It sucks” “Well I get to talk to you so it’s awesome!” “......”
One time the guy asked if I was successful with dating. I asked he define successful because after three years of being single and going on dates that lead to no commitment isn’t all that successful.
I’m definitely more jaded than when I first started dating post divorce. 🤷🏻♀️
How often does this happen to you? For the last two dates I've had, both guys (very different in personality) walked in seemingly uninterested in being at the date. I had to force conversation with both. I gave up at some point with both and then they start to try a litte but barely? It's hard to explain. I know I'm attractive (I get validation on this a lot so I'm not trying to sound arrogant) so I don't believe this is the issue. I think I need to start learning how to just end a date fast when I'm getting nothing on the other end.
I never exchanged numbers with my date last night and I don't really want to obviously. I almost want to message him saying, "what did you
Any tips on how to stay on plan while traveling? I was in Houston for the first time. How do I not pick amazing Mexican food and bbq ribs for dinner?? I am starting to travel more for work. I could do better next time with dinner choices but sometimes it’s hard finding healthy options, even for breakfast. The last day I found some Greek yogurt and think thin protein bars at Target.
I’m used to cooking my meals to ensure I stay on plan. Any other tips?
Would you message someone who put a screenshot of their credit score? It seems so odd to me that they did this. It makes me curious. I will likely message him for curiosity sake.
Edit to add: my score is better than his 😂 it’s all good though. Not gonna message him but thought this was a new one for my books.
Never had a date do it. My friend is now in a relationship and all of a sudden lost courtesy to let me know she’s running an hour late. Her excuse is traffic but she left at the time we are supposed to meet. Seriously?! She was the one who said she would never do this when a guy comes into her life. I’m calling BS. So far, twice she’s brought him when we made plans and I had no clue he’d come along. Third time I’ll be a little more clear about us having “girl time”.
NY Post: Couples are signing relationship contracts to keep pet peeves in check.
google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2019/02/20/couple...I (36F) was married 8 years (together 14 years) and even during my marriage, I was on the fence. I never had the desire like most women to have children right away. I wanted to wait until 30. Issues became more apparent with my ex which I think became apparent as I became more serious about having children. I would never want to raise children with him because he was very selfish. That realization led to my divorce.
Three years later ... I am still searching for someone to share my life. I want a long term relationship. I have also been through some self-discovery and know I want to travel as much as I can. I love the freedom to wake up whenever I want. I enjoy the abil
Three separate initiated messages in one day. He starts with a good morning, there is an exchange. Conversation dies down. Then he texts early afternoon, what are your plans for the day, there's an exchange of conversation and again it dies down. Later at night, he asks how was your night. There's an exchange about that, it dies again. Next morning, rinse, repeat. This even happens when I explained previously that I'd be with family celebrating a birthday. Why not let me reach out once in awhile?
Ok, in the very beginning of dating, I found it endearing. Almost three years later, I find it annoying. Maybe it's just me. Maybe others feel the same way. Maybe it is bei
