I realize hardly any of us are actually tuning channels anymore and while a lot of us have cell phones nearby with emergency alerts on not all of us do. For example. I have bad charging habits so i run my battery dead then i am charging or my phone is in another room but i am only on Fire TV.

My mother doesn't tune her tv and this is after dropping Dish.

She only uses her Roku and the older pendant Fire TV i just gave her for her bedroom.

The reason i am asking is because the ice caps are melting. I am not sure how much this is compared to the amount of material as mount Everest but cutting down Everest to add to the sea would likely cause sea level to rise.

I edited this all out: I fixed it. I can't even say what fixed it other than i got a stronger cell signal down the road possibly as i tried again after leaving home. I tried for hours and finally got it all working.

The problem is getting your wifi and hotspot setup and then getting the dash cam to connect to your hotspot while getting cloud features to work. Countless times i had to redo all the steps.

I do not recommend this Dash Cam until they fix the software headaches. I am technically smart. It is still difficult. I think you just get lucky and finally it works.

I get the camera shouldn't delete events and the camera should keep those recordings but there was only a couple events from a bounce in the road pulling out of a business. I am just wondering if i am going to have to point my Fire TV remote at the TV.

In the cold days of winter i don't want to move my arms out from under my blanket to use my remote. I am used to not pointing the remote to make them work and being able to turn up and down volume in the next room.

Will this control volume and power wirelessly like my smart remote or is it going to be stuck with infrared control?
