Hi All,
Recently started a new modded colony and keep hearing a voice line sound effect play every couple minutes that says something along the lines of "protection team alert: evidence of anti-civil activity in this community. Code: Assemble Class: Contain" which is getting pretty annoying.
Does anyone know what mod is doing this? Will paste my mod list in a comment below. I'm assuming its one of the faction mods but most of them are new for this run.
Anyone know of a 4 leg standing desk I can get in the UK that fits a 140x70cm desk top that is also available in white?
Flexispot's E7+ would be ideal but really annoyingly they don't sell it in white here, and I cant find any alternative under 80cm width which is a bit overly large for my room.
There's plenty of 2 legged alternatives but its going to be holding a huge monitor on an arm and also the weight of a very beefy PC, so 4 legs seems best for stability and weight capacity.
I absolutely adore this song and have never heard anything else like it. I don't even know what genre I'd call it.
I like how it starts off mellow sad and bassy in the beginning and then morphs into to this big orchestral string and piano heavy finale ending in a very different place to where it started.
I don't think I've ever skipped it on shuffle, none of the other songs by Gorillaz I've heard are really all that similar.
Anyone know anything in the same vein?
Slightly inflammatory title I know, obviously the BDB is far off being many folks dream machine in a lot of ways, however after spending like 2 weeks searching for a sub £2k machine with an even remotely comparable feature set that aesthetically looks less rubbish than the BDB I've come to the conclusion there simply isn't one and you're looking at £2.8k+ for a decent etc to find a machine that performs and looks better. Seems like madness to me that you have to spend an extra £1.8k to find anything that could be considered an upgrade to a decade and a half old product. I hadnt expected to try to get into this hobby only to find that spending £2k is considered 'budget' haha.

Hi, I'd appreciate some assistance from someone more knowledgeable in troubleshooting a top surface quality issue with my P1S.
I've been printing the same files with my P1S since I got it, and recently have noticed a massive drop in quality of top surface smoothness. It looks bumpy and rough, like overextrusion. My first thought was that my slicer profile had changed or something so I reran the flow calibration. I got the same K value I was used to and the surface quality extrusion calibration produced the exact same normal immaculate surface quality I'm used to at +5 which I saved and started using expecting the issue to be fixed. Nope. Still messed up surface quality.

I'm trying to paint some minis for an RPG and in my head I want to make the fire on some of them visually distinct from regular fire, as "holy fire" from a divine source rather than the normal mundane run of the mill warm stuff (for plot reasons) but I'm not sure if its convincingly possible and for it to still be immediately recognisable as fire. I've found examples of flames in other colours but mostly greens and pinks in line with common warhammer themes.
Has anyone else ever tried such an effect? The only solution I could think of was to stick to desaturated colder yellows rather than the typical warm yellows and oranges, but googling around turned up nothing relevant so I'm at

They originally didnt make them available to order online due to limited stock from GW but I guess they didnt sell out in store and they are now available on the website.
Posting this in case anyone wanted one but missed out on release day. They say they have 10+ copies but I'd act fast if you want one as once they're gone they aren't coming back. I'm honestly surprised to see them available at all this late without a huge price tag.
Anyone got any tips for how to get these to work? I've not found articles online to be particularly helpful, and my first attempt has been a dismal failure. This attempt was in PLA at 195 deg, 50mm/s. Supports were zigzag at 15% density.
On the bolts, the area where my supports contact the bolt itself seem to have failed entirely, both on the thread and the shaft. - Is this due to the shape & density of the supports or something else?
Similarly trying to print nuts vertically has resulted in a wobbly fused mess inside. I think Cura tried to support the inside thread. Looking at it in the slicer its an absolute mess on there too so not surprised that failed. Is

I'm looking at upgrading my space sim setup (currently 2 T16000M sticks) to something much better and I had a question for people more experienced or who have recently made their upgrades:
I'm the sort of person who doesn't mind investing a large sum if I'm going to get actual tangible benefit from paying extra. People seem to rave about the quality of life increase you get when paying for premium sticks in terms of precision and feel. OK great, sounds worth it... so going with my first instinct I priced up 2x Virpil WarBRD/constellation alpha sticks. Ouch, that's a hell of a price tag. These better be good!

Been doing some list building recently wanting to try leagues ive not played as yet and have been thinking about URSRs judgement bonus (0 judgement counts as 1)... Which is very much just a poor mans version of the Thurian bonus and causes as much harm as good tbh.
How have you guys been handling this when building lists? Do you just accept that your first judgement is totally worthless, or has anyone tried just skipping Carl entirely? Losing re rolls too punishing?
I feel like an URSR list with double grimnyr and iron master might do just as well as one with Carl in it, considering you probably want to be vehicle heavy for those sweet t9 fortresses and t8 sagitaur anyway.
Anyone know what on earth might be causing this? Whenever any of my pawns shoot, whatever weapon they are using hoses out like 99 bullets a second. Nothing stands a chance. It's hilarious but not very balanced. Only happens on one save file. Still happens when all mods disabled.
