So I have a "To be Watched" list that is nearly 200 movies deep. This morning I watched "Tootsie" for the first time. There is a scene where Dustin Hoffman's character is hearing a story about a coworker's father's friend. A Native American named Injun-Joe.

I will bet this is where Butcher got Listens-to-Wind's nickname from. The movie is from 83. That is Prime Butcher reference time frame.

I am not a person that complains about anything. I tip 20% even if the food sucks and the service was subpar, because maybe they are having an off night. I am the kind of person that lets people merge even if i am late. last year at work (managed a supermarket) i was having panic attacks because of my job and responsibility. My wife supported my decision to leave the job for a much less stressful job. as a result i am home more with my wife and kids and i love it. but the new work schedule doesnt leave the time i used to have for the gym. so i have gained like 50 pounds. last week i had a doctor's appt. my physical went ok except the doctor saying in the nicest possible way "hey youre fat no

Ok so forgive me if this has been mentioned before, and if i am conflating an event or misremembering it In This Inevitable Ruin, saves people (women i think) who are mad because Carl killed their father. Is it possible the person they are talking about is the person that tried to kill Donut in the Desperado Club in book 3 and they are blaming Carl for their deaths?

I am relistening to TEotBB when I got to the scene where Carl and Donut go on Rosanna's, in the scene Carl is shown a picture of him holding a goat. Later he flashes back to his father breaking his fish tank and remarks "the last living thing that cared about me".

This got me thinking. Carl rememebers a lot of things in his life that coincide with whats happening. When he deals with the creepy circus in CDS he remembers his mother taking him to the circus.

I think that Carl is going to eventually be confronted with the idea that the world he is in is a delusion. His entire life seems to have built the perfect crawler. It might be like that scene in a Total Recall where schwarzenegger is

I think whatever the reason these videos are being made they missed an opportunity to make a solid reference to Firefly. If they had Nathan Fillion do a video where he pushes a red button and nothing happens. Then is forced to go one by one to round everyone up.

First let me say that I can be sure how I feel about right away, my gut falls to recency bias too often (I championed John Carter for 3 days until I realized that movie is garbage). I am a Scream fan since the first movie, having seen all of them in theaters.
here are my take aways from this movie:

the opening scene is fine. until the knife enters the man's head that is when we get the first of a series of overly gory, cheesy digital kills. It also bothers me somewhat that the first two victims aren't connected to the rest of the story at all. also, why didn't they at any point say it a Scare B&B the joke is right there.

I like the Tatum and Ben bedroom scene. it was going for nostalgi

So like many of you I am doing a reread/relisten of the books in preparation for 12 months. Anywhoo I am in Chapter 19 when Harry is talking to his army. And one guy is incredulous about Harry being a wizard. Harry puts his hands apart and says Eggus chenus and shoots energy between his hands. I never realized its a reference to the opening scene of Big Trouble in Little China. I laughed. And then had to explain to my daughter why that was funny. As I was listening to it in the car with her.

In Small Favor, Harry has a fight at an aquarium. They kill 11-ish denarians. Do you think a dolphin could have picked up one of the coins and become a denarian itself? I think it would be fun to see a dolphin with the coin of Ursiel.

Hello, I have a lattarula Italian honey Fig plant growing in a pot right now. I've brought it in my house for the fall but I'm concerned that it needs to stay outside to go dormant. Any advice?

I got to thinking about Carl getting the gun and holster. He says that its just an ordinary gun and his magical gear and weapons is more powerful than it and he'd never use it. But I got to thinking that its going to be important and that Carl can make it stronger just by putting the bullets on the sappers table. The sapper table makes explosions stronger. And bullets are basically shaped charges. Mark my words I think the gun is coming back, its gonna end up being superpowerful and its gonna have a terrible impact.

Of all the characters that only have one or two scenes who is your favorite? Personally? Mine is Growler Gary.

I'm rewatching the modern Who. I just got up to the introduction of Captain Jack Harkness. In the episode where he is introduced he tells the story of being a time agent and waking up one day having lost two years of his life. I never finished Torchwood. Does Jack ever find out what happened in the missing time?

My wife is looking for a specific episode of a Star Wars animated show. It revolves around the main characters using a bunch of misfit druids helping to take over a ship.

Some other things she remembers (mostly about a singular droid):

1. the hero Droid at the end is small.
2. he's funny and underestimated
3. he reminds her of the Pixar lamp

Any help will be appreciated
