Sonic Zero-to-Deaths Samus on Dreamland in record time (0:04.97)
gfycat.com/CanineSpiritedGalapagosdovePasting in the Youtube URL for the video I'm trying to gfycat (it's nearly 5 hours long) just automatically uploads the first 15 seconds of it.
It transitions to "Converting" instead of giving me access to the editor tool that lets me select where I want the gfycat to start and end. About 5 minutes later a gfycat shows up in My Gfycats as if I had selected to upload the first 15 seconds of the video, which I didn't want to do.
I had expected that I'd be able to select the part of the video I wanted to be gfycatted, but this doesn't seem to be possible with this particular video. I've tried this with
Sonic sets the World Record for the fastest 0-Death (0:02.70)
gfycat.com/FortunatePointedDogwoodclubgallWhenever I try to convert this YouTube link into a gfycat, the progress bar reaches about 1/3rd of the way through and gives me this error message.
The preview shows the video that I linked and it otherwise seems to be working fine, but clicking on CREATE will prompt me with the message "Unable to retrieve video. Sorry, fetching video from remote services doesn't always work!"
Tested this with other YouTube videos and never saw the same problem. Maybe it's because this particular video is over 1 hour long or unlisted?
