Ive been using tattoos as a way to reclaim my body after an abusive relationship. Everything I have on my body has some sort of meaning or tells a story about my life.
Im half sambal, a part of the Botolan Sambals and I wanted to see if I could work with traditional sambal tattoos. Would anyone know of any resources that I could dive into?
I was diagnosed last year after a couple ER trips found that my potassium levels were dropping below normal even when i had recently gotten potassium IV. After a few months and weeks of tracking my levels and symptoms it was decided that I had to take daily potassium.
I was wondering how folks have rationalized or overcome any internalized stigmas and biases related to their hypoKpp. When I was first diagnosed, a lot of relatives would say “you just need to eat better” when my levels dropped the doctor was clear that eating potassium rich food wouldn’t be enough. One of the ER docs kept telling me that this is actually a serious issue and I don’t think it really clicked until I was wearing
I understand that the interns aren’t everyone’s favourite but I love the scenes where we see Lucas’ and his aunt interact and the familial dynamics that come from it. Please don’t take it away 🥺
I’ve been seeing a lot of content on instagram, tik tok, and other platforms discussing the mental load women/ moms take on for their partner and families. There was one in particular that highlighted coming up with the chores list enables this further. However as someone with ADHD and a partner with ADHD, I see the benefit of chores lists.
I was wondering if folks wanted share ideas around how we can make creating the chore list less of a mental burden.
Have any of you had any success helping your partner develop a pro-active skill set to take off some of your mental burden?
I grew up with a justnogma, and seeing the hurt and how it affected my family forced me and my sister to go NC with our grandmother. Because I grew up with this I never wanted it and I may have just jinxed it. My justnoMIL never saw me as family or someone her son might marry. She never outwardly says anything but her questions say a lot. For example she never liked when her son gave me jewelry when we were dating. She asked if her son paid for all our dates and said “oh thank god” when I said no. When my husband got a dog, she wanted to make sure that I knew this dog wasn’t mine. The passive agressiveness is so bad.
I’ve tried so hard to be what she wants but its never enough. I’m so tir
How are those with husbands handling the distrubution of household work? We do divide the work but I am the one who has to come up with the division of work and then make a to do list. I even had to tell him that it was a good opportunity to take a shower before our LO woke up from his nap.
He will eagerly do ANYTHING I ask. But often I have to ask again and again. We both have ADHD, so I understand that it isn’t easy and he will forget things. So I tell him to write it out or use his phone.
I know he has a lot to learn because my MIL doesn’t believe in giving children chores because it feels like taking away their childhood but I am so tired.
But were dropping so many balls.
