Does anyone know of any? I tend to look for more calm/less hyper streamers (so no jackscepticeye, Markiplier, etc.).

Another big thing is I'd really prefer the streamer to be experiencing the game for the first time. All of these Early Access streamers who just blow through 75% of the experience because they've already done it kind of defeats the purpose for me.

I've been recommended the Dark Times mod, but I think that's doing a bit much for my tastes. It changes the economy, xp curve, it changes perks and even adds new ones. Maybe that's something I'll try if I start a new game, but I'm already in the middle of one and don't think messing with most of that stuff would be very great right now.

I just don't want to one shot enemies.

I was really enjoying my time in this game, but I randomly found myself feeling kind of down on it after a culmination of a few things:

  1. I finished "Baptism of Fire" and got "Questions and Answers." I read on this sub that "Questions and Answers" was very buggy, which makes me wary of doing anything now.
  2. The same post warning about "Questions and Answers" referred to it as a quest that's "quite far into the game." Getting to it this early, only after a day or so, was a bit disheartening. [Especially since the entire Neuhof plotline felt very imperative to complete once you get it - I couldn't imagine Henry doing other, random tasks at basically any point in the entire arc.](/spoil

I finally decided to go looking for a cure after many hours of play and basically just base building and resource gathering.

For whatever reason, I had assumed that the quarantine facility would 100% have the cure, so I was a bit upset when it told me I needed to look deeper at 1400m. The Seamoth can only go up to 900, so I knew that I needed to start using the Prawn now. I know the Cyclops can go pretty deep as well, but every area that I found that gets even close to that depth needs to go through very small corridors first.

I'm trying to play the game without using any guides, and the quarantine facility was already the deepest place I've seen, so I took the Prawn out by the that way

You see big mining nodes right away, but can't do anything with them for so long. By the time you get the Prawn, I feel like that's enough close to the "end game" that it really makes the big nodes feel kind of wasted.

It might be better if there was a tool to drill those that you can get earlier on, and then that drill is part of the component to the Prawn's drill arm. Maybe the hand-held drill only gets half the amount of ore out of them and uses a lot of battery or something.

Anyone know of a good streamer for this game? When I do a search, the primary result is jacksepticeye, who really isn't my cup of tea.

I'm looking for someone a bit...lower key.

I was getting some really bad FPS, so I deleted all of the baked cache files.

I noticed that one place where I scanned some Prawn suits respawned. Is this because of me deleting those files, or are they supposed to do that on their own? I don't want to get a major advantage by deleting the files, so I don't know if I should scan these again or not.

I don't know how to do spoilers, though I don't think anything I'm going to say is a huge spoiler (I'm not very far myself, though I have gleaned some things from messing around in creative mode), but consider this sentence a warning just in case.

Is there any reason why I would be punished for taking my time and building many bases all throughout the world? My self-scan says that the bacteria is starting to affect me - will my character just randomly "die" eventually?

If I discover a cure for the bacteria and cure myself, does that advance the game into any time-limited state? I feel like, if one were trying to play a realistic character, that finding a cure would be a high priority, bu

I'm planning a party for Classic, and this is what I have so far (basically just copying from u/Nerd_Commando's guide):

Paladin (Sword + Shield): 10 Warfare|10 Hydro|1 Necro|1 Scoundrel

Rogue (Daggers): 10 Warfare|10 Scoundrel|1 Poly|1 Aero

Ranger (Bow/Crossbow): 10 Warfare|10 Ranged|3 Huntsman

But I get lost at what I'm supposed to do for Summoner. Looking at the skills, if you put everything into Summoning, what exactly are you doing on your turns in Act 1?

Conjure Incarnate + Power Infusion on your first turn, but then what? You can Elemental Totem once on the next turn, but that leaves you with 3 AP (one from the first turn).

Normally you'd be able to do a basic attack, but

As a long-time fan who hasn't been "hardcore" into the series since childhood, I have to wonder if the games will ever adopt more "modern" game design practices, or if decisions for various oddball choices are done deliberately and will likely continue as the franchise expands to the Switch.

To give some concrete examples of what I mean: the whole EV, IV, breeding, etc. system seems incredibly unnecessary to me. In modern RPG game design, we tend to be given full information of our character's stats and full control over in which paths we would like them to advance (within game balance rules, of course).

I couldn't imagine playing The Witcher 3 and not being able to directly choose Gera
