NISI 82mm VND vs Tiffen 82mm VND

Technical/Equipment Help and Information

So I'm looking for a good ND filter and im torn between those two. The nisi costs around 300 whole the tiffen only costs about 230.

Biggest difference are probably the stops. Nisi has 5 and Tiffen has 9.

I only both have pros and cons so its really hard to decide. Im on the fence here. What do you guys recommend?ì

Traveling to LA right now?

Question — General

Hello fellow travellers,

So im currently on the fence of traveling to LA for a couple of reasons but more to that in just a bit.

Ive been living in Canada for almost a year now and the trip is coming to an end soon. In two months, starting in May, Im going to fly to Central America and hitchhike across several countries for a month before flying back to Germany.

Now here is the thing:

Me and my boys did a trip to California two years ago and I actually fell in love with the state and its nature. Since then I always wanted to go back.

So me and my buddy have been planning to go there again this month for two weeks but I dipped because him and his friends did changes to the itinerary tha

Hey there, So I arrived on the Island, currently in Victoria, and I was wondering how strong the restrictions are here. I heard a lot of different things. Its either illegal and there's signs where its strictly prohibited and then I hear stuff that its actually legal. Im already to go backpacking and wildcamp out there. My first stop would be Duncan. Do you guys have any tips or locations for me where its allowed and easy to get a ride?

Buying from Marketplace

 Question

So in the last months ive seen many people selling their pocket 3 in Alberta for about 300 to 450$. Theres a guy who sells his kit (+dji mic 2) for 350 and lowered it to 300. I could meet him and inspect it (note that i never had one so i might not recognize certain issues) but what do you guys think? Legit or not

Ok so since the jacket discussion came to a closure I have another problem. Sleeping bag. I just bought a new 70l Osprey backpack. I have a tent and still need a mat and sleeping bag. The weather forecast says that the coldest temperature for the next few weeks is gonna be around 3-4°. The problem (besides the cost) is that the sleeping bags with -7° for example are too big and thick. I wont be able to put them in my backpack. Maybe I can let it hang outside but then Id wait to buy one in Victoria since its gonna cause problems at the airport.

0° bags are much lighter and smaller. Would you say that 0° (+tent, layered clothes and mat) is enough for those temperatures?

Hey there, Tomorrow im flying to the Island for a whole month and I bought a big and heavy winter jacket (-40°). The thing is Im backpacking/hitchhiking through the whole island and i only have big 70l backpack with me which is already very heavy. Would you guys say that I can just leave the jacket here and wear layers of clothes (thermal top, tshirts, hoodie and thin jacket)? Im also camping. Its gonna rain a lot so ill have to wear a Pancho because the thin jacket is not made for rain. Why Im thinking of leaving the winter jacket is because I will also hike and move a lot so the jacket might even become a burden to carry it around all the time. Whats your advice?

So I just recently started with work and travel in Canada and am currently in Toronto. I have all my camera equipment with me and want to start creating something but Im kinda out of ideas right now. Its such a huge city with so many unique locations but I cant find a good story.

Im also alone so I have to do the acting and filming which means its mostly gonna be static shots.

What are some compelling ideas you could create in such a vast city. Im also gonna travel to a lot of other places in Canada.

Thinking about buying a new PC. I'm still torn between those two CPUs tho. I play a lot of games and want to play on at least 1440p. I want to play games like Cyberpunk on max settinga as well as shooter games. I also edit a lot with after effects, davinci, Photoshop and such.

The current specs I'll play to buy: 4070ti super

Z890 elite ice mobo (if I buy the ultra 7) Z790 elite ice mobo (if I buy the 14700)

Ddr5-6400 Patriot Viper 64gb Patriot Viper vp4300 lite m.2 (2tb) Arctic liquid freezer 3

Does anyone have experience with either of those two and can give me an opinion?

Another thing to mention; I have DDR5 6400 ram so I wouldn't be able to use that with the z790 since it is nativ
