I am trying to find a book I read in the late 1990s. It was written for young adults and I'd consider it science fiction. The name had some similarity to "Star Child" or "Star Children" I think. The premise from what I remember involved two kids, possible siblings, who are exploring some sort of forest/jungle planet after possibly surviving the crash landing of their ship. My memory is a little fuzzy so I may be misremembering some of the details.

I remember a scene where the children are on the branches of a massive tree, and there are some sort of friendly alien creatures that maybe lived in the trees.

I am pretty sure the cover of the book was mostly dark, maybe black, with some sort of

I work in a hospital, and I was coming in to work early this morning. As I approached the door, boomer was pushing his wife in a wheelchair towards the door. He was clearly struggling. So, I opened the door and helped him push the chair through the entrance. After he gets through the door he paused and starts slumping while clearly struggling to remain standing. A coworker and I grab his arms to steady him and get a chair for him to sit down in, while another coworker goes to call for a nurse. Two nurses come out to assist, but all the boomer can say is "no, I'm going home." He's clearly annoyed that we tried to help him. His wife says "let him go." So, we let him go. He shuffles out of the

Hello! I am trying to track down a punk band that originated at the U of M in the mid 2000s. I saw them at Pizza Luce in Duluth somewhere around 2006-2007. I think their name was some sort of synonym for "community" or "collaboration." I remember the guitarist had a short mohawk. I know I'm grasping at straws here, but if anyone has any info I would really appreciate it.

Hello,
I received what I believe is a Toshiba 30HF84 tv for free. It has two component inputs and an HDMI input, which is perfect for what I want to use it for. The problem is that there was no remote, so I have been unable to change inputs. I have scoured the menu options but can't figure out if there's a way. I also tried 3 universal remotes, my Wii-U gamepad, and even ordered a Toshiba CT-90158 remote from eBay. None of them work. Does anyone have experience with this model of TV? I fear the receiver might be bad, and I have no idea how to replace it, if that is the case.
Thanks!

Hi everyone. I moved to Ohio from Minnesota about a year ago, and just bought tickets to attend the home opener next Friday. Believe it or not, this will be my first time seeing a live pro game. Anything I should know about the area? Parking? What to eat at the stadium? Thanks, and I look forward to getting more involved with this community.

I used to repeatedly check this book out from my elementary school library in the early 1990s. It was an educational book full of realistic depictions of dinosaurs. I remember two specific pages: one was all different species of raptors, and one was all different species of ocean dinosaurs. There was no story, it seemed more like an encyclopedia. I imagine it was published in the late 80s or early 90s. Thanks!

I love the PSP. It is my favorite handheld system above all the others I own: Vita, 3DS, DS, GBA, og Gameboy. I have pearl white 3001 with CFW and a bunch of aaamaaazzinng games. However, my battery is terrible. It will hold a charge for somewhere around 2 hours of gameplay, and then shutoff without much warning. The battery indicator doesn't tell the full truth, so I have to sort of guess when it's time to charge so I don't lose game progress. It also quickly loses charge when it's sitting in my drawer powered off. So, what are my options? I know I can gamble on an aftermarket battery, but from what I've heard they are pretty terrible, too. I know I can attempt a "big battery" mod, but I am

This may be the wrong subreddit for this type of post. If it is, feel free to downvote.

Here's my situation: I used to have a great core group of friends that would game together pretty regularly, and it was amazing. I had to much fun, and have so many awesome memories from those times. We played anything from the Halo games on 360, the Battlefield games, to Diablo and Guild Wars.

Well, eventually everyone moved on from gaming and got married and had kids. For the past few years I've slowly sunken into depression and I think a lot of it has to do with losing my friends to adulthood.

This post is just me reaching out to you all in hopes you can recommend to me some games or some friendly

I have a PSP 3000 for which I bought aftermarket replacement buttons. After installing them, I can't get the circle button to be straight. It's sort of at an angle towards the outside of the PSP. Anyone else have this issue? Any way to fix it? Thanks

Hi everyone. I just ordered a refurbished New 3DS XL from Nintendo's store and I have a few questions. First, will I need to purchase screen protectors, or does Nintendo include those as part of the refurbishment? Second, will I need to purchase a charger? I have a charger from my regular 3DS XL; will that work with the New 3DS XL? Thanks!
