For context, I am a trans woman who has begun their HRT through a remote private medical company starting in late October last year. I am on 50mg of spironolactone anti-androgen a day, and take 3mg estradiol through a transdermal gel.

At about 3 months into my transition, I feel the effects have been positive in terms of my skin, hair, (some) fat distribution, and i'm experiencing no adverse effects (of course its early days). However, when reading online and talking to peers who have gone through this process I tend to hear much larger doses of estradiol mentioned, going up to 10mg. My understanding of course is that I am meant to start on a low dose and increase it over time, but I'm unsu

I've been grappling with this conundrum for a while now regarding the plans I've written for my Dragon Heist campaign. It's a book filled with so many fun characters, whether they be the charming pirate Jarlaxle, the hustling author with a heart of gold in Volo, the mysterious manipulating Cassalanters, all of Xanathar's various shady cronies, even Yagra whose arm-wrestling in a tavern immediately tells us so much about her character, and even the character of Dagult, whose absence doesn't lessen the impact they have on the campaign.

This brings me to Renaer. I could be reading him wrong, but I am really struggling to figure out what makes him interesting besides his embroilment in the plot

I get that PDX games aren't necessarily "history simulators", but I feel like I can't be the only one finding it jarring how places like Gaul, Britannia and Hispania tend to get dominated by 1-3 huge tribal nations who can seriously rival the great mediterranean and Asian civilisations of the time. While I haven't played the game it must radically change the dynamic of playing in those areas compared to actual history, and personally I find it pretty immersion-breaking.

Like, Carthage, Macedon or Egypt becoming big empires dominating the mediterranean is one thing, but Dubbonia getting 18th century British borders before the birth of Christ feels...a bit much. Hope there's some kind of patc

I'm gonna run this campaign and am currently reading through the book, and I love this concept of the "Closed" or "Masked" Lords of Waterdeep speaking through the "Open Lord" as a style of weird fantasy Republic; but I have a question: where do Closed Lords come from?

Like, if Waterdeep has been around for ages then new Closed Lords must have been appointed, but how? They can't be elected by other nobility, that would reveal their identities. Surely they can't be appointed by the Open Lord because then the Open Lord would be way too powerful. Can a character BECOME an Closed Lord? And if so, how would they? Is it some kind of zany, unrealistic divine right thing where the Open Lord is inf

One thing I often see around is basic socialist definitions of working-class/Proletarian and Bourgeoise which AFAIK posits the Bourgeoise, "the bosses", as a group who take a cut of their worker's wealth while undergoing less labour and commanding authority of those workers. A lot of the time in socialist circles you hear "workers" and "bosses" being discussed as totally separate entities, and that bosses are completely irredeemable for having exploited the labour of workers.

However as I go into the workplace, I'm finding this doesn't line up with what I'm seeing. For one thing, there seems to layers of bosses, bosses have their own bosses and seem to have their labour exploited as well, a

I am about to be running a game set in Maztica, and made the decision to include an encounter with a "Cipactli". Cipactli is this mythic reptilian creature from Aztec folklore with mouths on each bodily joint, and I plan to re-interpret it as a D&D monster for a party of five level 3 players.

However, I'm not sure how it would work! I have a thrilling monster, but I'm unsure of how to actually depict its many mouths in the Crunch.

If anyone has any ideas of how I could introduce this idea into combat, I would be very thankful.

I was at the Circus Maximus in Rome the other day and noticed that among the ruins in the Roman Forum visible from the Circus was a replica of the Apollo-Soyuz spacecraft.

Looking this up I find nothing about it, certainly nothing in English. Would any of you have any idea why it's there? Thank you.

One character I'm thinking of creating is a Dragonborn Ranger using the Far Traveller background from SCAG. I have this idea that he's from a desert tribe of Dragonborn far to the east, and honestly I was thinking to myself "how is this guys' Common going to be any good?"

However, I can't really think of any way to convey this in gameplay since in D&D's core rules, you either know a language or you don't. Is there some way to create an in-between? Has anyone here had experience playing or DMing characters in which their lack of proficiency but not total ignorance of a language was able to be displayed using game mechanics?

tl;dr: Anyone ever made rules for being "okay" at a language ra

Been doing a lot of co-op recently in Bloodborne and setting down the occasional message, and I am finding I am getting "fine" ratings more than normal, giving me health at vital times.

I don't know why the "fine" rating chances on messages might be rising but thanks to anyone who does it, and I do it back knowing I might help someone beat the Orphan or something.

I'm on NG+ right now and am finally reaching the Madarame arc again, but this time around I can't help but notice Ann acts...strange regarding Yusuke.

There's the fact she immediately is interested in his admittedly quite shifty-sounding modelling offer and I'm not sure how this is justified beyond Ann possibly wanting to become a more serious model.

She's quite kind in the IMs regarding him when talking with Joker and Ryuji, giving him the benefit of the doubt. When they talk at the art gallery Ann seems to be trying her best, and getting unusually into the art. I can totally get this being innocent, but in the context of the rest of these little events it now seems suspicious to me.

Looking at the rules for vampires in 5e (and in pathfinder and AFAIK the other DnD editions) it includes "Forbiddance" which prevents a vampire from entering a private residence unless invited in.

In a campaign I'm writing, an imprisoned vampire will be taken aboard a boat. The boat is a private vessel owned by the captain, which makes it something of a private residence owned by him. However, the vampire is not entering the boat by his own consent; he is locked in a crate (anti-magic manacles of course) by a hunter who is taking him onboard in order to transport him.

My question is: does Forbiddance apply even when the vampire is not entering the private residence of their own consent? Is

For the record I am no Unionist, in fact I'd consider myself something of a Bookchin-flavoured Anarchist, but I grew up in east Belfast and I've lived all my life surrounded by Protestants and Protestant culture. My family are Unionists (albeit Alliance-voting, moderate, middle-class Unionists) and I've been raised on a diet of anti-Republican information and disinformation.

With Michelle O'Neill in power many moderate Unionists I knew got excited at the idea of someone who wasn't an IRA member being the SF leader, but that excitement has pretty much died immediately with her recently attending a vigil for 4 IRA men. As someone inclined to the Left I would much prefer an executive dominated
