I have BF3 premium for Xbox 360, but I would like to get it on PC as well. If I buy a PC copy will my premium status follow my account, or will I have to buy it again?

Alright, here's the deal. I have a 5(ish) year old Asus P5E WS motherboard that I think is dead.

No POST regardless of hardware swapped. It will power on but doesnt do anything once the lights come on and the fans start running. There are no error LEDs on the board. I have checked the power supply by swapping the cable modules to different slots, which seemed kinda silly since the MoBo main power is fixed and cant me swapped.

Is there anything else I can try, or should I just call the board dead and wait the 4 months before I can afford another one?

So I have made it through Sen's fortress and killed the Iron Golem. from there I went to Anor Londo. I killed the gargoyle and made it to the yellow light barrier, but it wont let me through and I cant find anywhere else to go.

Am I missing something?

I can beat the Demon's Souls challenge modes without batting an eye. Dark Souls really isn't all that bad once you get used to the enemies and combat system. I love this game and have a blast playing it.

That being said I am about two seconds away from quitting this f*cking POS waste of time. Why you may ask? What would make someone who has a character with over 24 hours played time want to quit? The answer is simple.

Curses. Fucking curses. The build up timer for them takes about as much time to fill as a 16 year old kid losing his virginity to his favorite porn star. Then as if the instant death that comes with it isnt bad enough, they go ahead and drop your HP by 50%. As if tha

Dark Souls is due to be released in 3 weeks. One can assume that the Demon's Souls multiplayer servers will be going down on or near the release date of Dark Souls. This is both a great and terrible thing.

It is terrible because when the servers go down it will effectively kill this subreddit. Without people being able to set up multiplayer events, ask for help with a boss or trade items there will be little reason to choose this subreddit over the game's wiki site. That is unfortunate because this community of min/max build masters, living GPS devices, assholes, saints, story tellers and Demon Hunters is something that I and many others will undoubtedly miss.

It is a great thing becau

Yesterday my DVD-ROM drive took a dump. Something involving a two year old and peanut butter....

I preordered BF3 through GameStop and I realize it requires Origin for CD key registration or some such silliness. So my question is simple: Can I activate my GameStop copy on Origin and then download the client, or am I going to have to buy another DVD drive?

Harry isnt wholly human. He is half human, from his mother's side, and half something else.

I'm reading through the series for the second time and I'm currently on book six, Blood Rites. Toward the beginning of the book Harry accuses Kincaid of being something other than human to which Kincaid replies, "I'm as human as you are, Dresden."

Later Ebenezar talks about Kincaid and says (paraphrased), "There are people walking around who carry the blood of the Nevernever in them. The faeries arent the only ones who can breed with humanity. These powerful offspring sometimes look human."

Not two or three pages later Ebenezar dances around directly saying that Harry's father is his biologic

I know there is r/bf3clans, but they have an unfortunately dismal readerbase and I'm hoping to get a decent reply.

I have the game preordered and will be looking for a group of people to play with once it comes out. Preferably a group that uses mics and solid teamwork.

I will be playing all night long from the hours of 10pm-7am CST on a fairly regular basis. Anyone have a group that needs a slot filled?

I noticed that there is a sword in both Morrowind and Oblivion called Umbra. In both games it was acquired by killing its current owner, and both times the current owner was so obsessed with the sword that they took its name as their own as if they were possessed by it. It was also one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

If I recall correctly in Morrowind it was a two-handed sword, and in Oblivion it was a longsword. I tried to do some research but came up with nothing but the definition of the word Umbra. I find it fitting that in both games the sword had a black blade and "umbra" is Latin for "Shadow".

My question is this... Is this sword kind of like the Excalibur of Cyrodiil
