Tjosan!

Hello everyone!

So I have an issue where the Discord interface on Windows doesn't "load" (I guess is the correct word?) & the screen is just blank

This is how it looks like for a while

And then it looks like this

This problem seem to start yesterday for me, trying to reload it doesn't seem to work as I just get the same screen again, I use Discord on my mobile device without a problem but I have these issues on Windows persi

Hello everyone!

I don't know if it's appropriate to ask it here but I'm currently poking away in Creation Kit attempting to create a Radiant Mod LeveledItem where you find a number of them at once (i.e. it appears in a container & there's 5 of them in the container).

I have managed to make sure that my quest item spawns in the container but I can't figure out how to spawn multiples of them, I can increase the "Quantity" of them when you click to edit them. However, while you go to pick up the item(s) at the Quest location, it isn't really reflected when you go to inspect the container.

I've been struggling with this for a bit now & I

Hello everyone!

I'm currently poking around in the Fallout 4 Creation Kit & I wanted to create a Quest where the player is tasked with "Go collect X amount of thing Y", as an example: "Go collect 6 Tin Cans for me" type of Quest.

I'm trying to find a way to find (as an example again) any type of Tin Can so that I'm not bound to create unique objects for it to make it work. I'm thinking I may need to poke around with RefCollectionAlias Script, but other than that I don't really know where to look next.

Thank you for your time!

Hello everyone,

I've been paying attention to Godot for a while & I've reached a point where I want to create a prototype (a 2D/2.5D platformer type) for a game, instead of Unity or Unreal (I prefer Unity if I have a choice), I was thinking of using Godot for the prototype (but also because I've been curious about Godot for a while).

I have some questions that I would like to hear from this community & I would appreciate any stories/experiences that you've had with Godot (both good and bad):

1. Is it preferred to work in 2D over 3D in Godot?

  • How far has the 3D part of Godot come?
  • For the prototype, I'm leaning towards 2D but I would prefer 3D (in a 2.5D vie

Hello everyone!

I was hoping if I could get some advice from you all, I'm a System Designer & I want to strengthen my portfolio with some System Design focused projects. Currently, the only thing I can currently think of is making something like a XCOM-like type of game (think Enemy Unknown or XCOM 2).

My line of thinking is that by creating a XCOM-like type of game I could potentially create smaller systems that can interact with each other. In Unreal, there are pre-made "packages" that has the movement/input/camera already done & I could focus on the system part of the project.

That's what I'm currently thinking but I'm unsure if that kind of project is a good idea

Hi, I hope all of you are doing okay.

So I have a model/character (character might be a stretch) that I've made that I want to add/create googly eyes for à la TABS (Totally Accurate Battle Simulator). After doing some googling, I managed to find this post from Unreal Engine/Epic called "Intro to Googly Eyes - Generating Oddly Oscillating Globe Lenses".

The Question

From what I understand, the tutorial is based on the plug-in called "[Control Rig](https://do

In 2020 I bought my stationary PC which I have now used for a while.

Recently I've had the issue when I play games, either through Steam or Xbox Gamepass, that the screen suddenly goes completely black (on the primary screen I'm playing on). It happens at seemingly random times while playing where I have to quickly pause the game so that nothing happens to me.

This doesn't happen when I use the PC for "mundane" stuff (i.e. browsing youtube or reddit) but happens only while playing games. If it matters, the games that I've recently played that this happens on are: "Watch_Dogs 2" & "Mass Effect Legendary Edition".

This hasn't really happened before & I don't really know what to loo

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing ok!

I have this idea that I've been pondering about for a while & I wanted some advice about it.

The Idea

The concept is a type of 2D/2.5D puzzle/platformer where instead of "traditionally" move around with Keyboard & Mouse or a Controller, you would instead move the character by "scipting/coding" the movement using a visual scripting "framework" similar to how Unreal Engine Blueprints work.

How would the "Scripting" work?
